I wish they belonged to me, but they don't so I promise to put them back when I am done.

For Mincka83 Because she left us with a hole never to be filled again, taking her stories and her universe with her. I hope she is well and fulfills her dreams.

"Jethro. Stop moving." Ducky tells him smoothly. "You're fever is gone now."

"Duck what happened?" He asks as he tried to sit up on his couch.

"You my dear friend had a fever, it appears that the this years flu is not afraid of you after all, you'll be fine in a few days."

"Thanks Duck." Jethro tells him as he watches Ducky pack up his bag and get his coat.

"Drink more fluids and by that I mean water and juice not just coffee."

"I will Duck." He replies just a before Ducky waved and closed the door leaving him alone in his house.

Standing Gibbs quickly folds the blanket and places it on the end of the couch. He feels the sweat soaked material from his t-shirt sticking to him and realizes that a shower is the first thing on his list.

It does not take him long to shower and change into fresh clothes. Feeling hungry for the first time in days he manages to eat a sandwich and a full glass of juice. All the while having a feeling that something was missing from his life.

He went from room to room in his house looking for a clue. But nothing seemed out of place. He still couldn't shake a feeling of loss that a big piece of his heart and world was missing.

He knew of only one way to shake to the feeling, work and in his case that meant sanding and working on his boat.

Needing a new piece of sanding paper he moved a mason jar to get at the paper. Sitting on top the stack he sees a small plastic toy, with red pants and blue skin a full white beard on top of the little head a red hat.

Picking up the toy he closes his hand around it holding it tightly he feels loss and at the same time peace. But never knowing why.

Clearing a space on the center of the shelf, he places the toy on a block of wood. Giving the appearance to all that the little toy was standing guard protecting everything and waiting to be called at a moments notice.

After all isn't that what Papa Smurfs do.
