"ring ring" went Mals phone while he was buttoning up his shirt.
He looks at the caller ID smiles and answers "Mal Fallon"
" hey partner" a familiar voice said
"Morning, how's the preparations going?" Mal returned now beaming
"ok ,I'm almost done you?"
" yea"
There was a pause before Mal spoke
" I hope that fianc of yours knows how lucky he is to be marrying you today"
"I think he does" she returns amused
" you sure, cause your WAY out of his league and He knows it"
"he's got nothing to worry about, "I'm totally in love with him!" she returned whispering
" got it" smirking " well...I'll let you go and get ready for the best day of OUR life, can't wait to see you beautiful!"

20 Minutes later all of the guest are gathered waiting patiently for the ceremony. The groom enters and immediately starts talking to family before making his way down to the alter with his best man. It then happens, as the wedding march plays lightly in the background he sees her, her flowing white dress, her perfect hair and her beaming face. All of the guest are stunned at her beauty, they follow her and her dad as they approach you. You can't keep your eyes off her, trying to push away the goofy smile of yours you stare into each others eyes, she winks and you know thats it, you are gone, your in trouble, you know that every second of every day you'll do whatever's needed to try to please her, protect her and above all love here uncontrollably.
All these thoughts swirl around in your head until she reaches you. Then everything gets clear, you take each other hand and step towards the priest.
"wow" you whisper admiring her as the priest beginning the opening statements
She smirks and returns her attention to the ceremony All you can think about is kissing her, you cant wait until you share your first kiss as man and wife, you think back to your first kiss it was raining and it had been an ordinary day at the office, all of the commotion of the Latest case had settled down. You drove her home walked her to her door and just kissed her without explanation or reason and it was a feeling you will never forget, it was a feeling that you had now. It engulfed your entire body making this all feel right, you smile at her reminiscing until the most Important question was uttered. She turned to face you along with all your guests staring up at you expectantly, you pause taking a mental picture of this moment. She looked so perfect, angelic even. You chuckle at yourself slightly at how utterly stupefied you are by her before speaking the only response possible to the question:
"I do"
She repeated this perfectly and sincerely, you knew she felt the same.
With that the priest smiles and finishes " I now pronounce you man and wife" looks at you and says " you may kiss your bride"
You dont need telling twice, you wrap your arm around her and kiss to the sound of your guests erupting with happiness.
As you part and take your first steps together down the isle you can't help but strut with a certain arrogance at your life, your one of the country's best detectives, your bank account looks good , easy on the eyes and you've managed to convince the most beautiful girl in the world marry you and to top it all off you are so getting laid tonight.
