"So take this night, and wrap it around me like a sheet, I know I'm not forgiven, but I know I'll find some peace"
Ok these lyrics are by Black Lab and the song is called "This Night" so for the challenge I'd like you to either draw inspiration from the above quotation or take the lyrics and use them either way it's a challenge.
Slamming the Impala's door Dean slumped against it's warm hood. His heart was still beating fast and he couldn't shake the thrumming no matter how many deep breaths he took.
Shadows crossed his path as he wandered towards the lake. The breeze rustled the leaves and the ripples in the water showed sparkles from the moon.
The stillness was calming and soon the anger ebbed from his body. He raked a hand through his short spiky hair and took another deep but shaky breath.
Ever since he was young he'd left before the argument had escalated. He'd said some stupid things in his time but this time he'd gone too far. Pushing his brother away was hard but the fact that he'd never see Sammy again was too much.
Sam was mad. He knew he would be what did he expect? I mean Dean had brought himself a one way ticket straight to hell and no amount of saying sorry in any way shape or form could change that.
Not even the fact that someone was willing to "help" save him from the pit was making Dean feel any easier about lying to Sam. He knew Sam was all for it and he was being dragged along merrily believing in the tales from the award winning liar demon skank of the year.
The anger licked at his heart it's fiery tail flickering causing it to skip a beat but he let it go.
Dean didn't want forgiveness right now. He just knew it would come at some point. Right now he was too tired to care.
Shadows stole across the face of the moon and he shivered. He could feel the night drawing in and enclosing him. He didn't want to die.
Staring up at the moon he felt the silver beam caress his skin and the night as a whole wrapped him up like a sheet. Somewhere and somehow he would find the peace he longed for but right now that was too far away but he'd get there some day.
