The sun set on my life for the last time as I stand on this cliff. As I think about what happened in the past month, I find it hard for me to live any more. I look down into the dark water of the Washington sound and see my mothers smiling face. Loosing her was the hardest thing I have had to face. Then the face of my girlfriend appeared in the dark water taking the place of my mothers. The crash played threw my head, the glass shattering the truck rolling, her screams filling my ears and the sad smile on her face as she died.
Just one-step and all this pain will end. Just a short fall and I will be somewhere other then surrounded with all this hurt.
"Don't."
I turn to see if that voice I heard was real. There was nothing, just the forest that lead to know where.
"Please, don't jump." I saw an angel walk out of the trees to the left of me. Her brown hair was shimmering in the moonlight. So many colors that framed her heart shaped face, making it look like a halo on her head. Her pale skin glowed in the moonlight. She was almost translucent. Her eyes were blood red; they did not match her angelic face.
"Don't jump. I do not want to get wet saving your sorry ass."
"Wh-who are you?"
"Someone who doesn't want to loose you."
This angel in the flesh is staring at me as if I was the most important person in the whole entire world. Those eyes seem to look right threw me. Those big red globes seem to take me in and not let me go.
"What's your name?" I ask hesitantly. Scaring this angel away would just push me towards the edge quicker.
Her lips moved up in to a small smile that did not reach her eyes. The pause in her answering me let me know that she didn't really want to answer.
"Take about fifteen step towards me, away from the cliff, and I will tell you my name."
