Shinigami. What does that word hold to some?
Gods of Death usually, plain and true. And that's true. There are also many Shinigami wandering around to protect some Souls and take others to where they need to be Heaven or Hell.
Suigetsu yawned, leaning against a wall. He was surrounded by his other Shinigami 'Friends'. Really they all just hung around together because they had nothing else to do unless called to take another Soul or protect one.
He hummed as there was a swirl of wind kicked up and then there stood the Assitant of the Original God, Shizune, who is now assistant to the Grandchild of the Original God.
" Hozuki Suigetsu. You're needed to pick up a new Soul. She shows potential of Shinigami. And being you are on probation for shurking your duties earlier, you have to do it. Get to it. Now."
In the swirl of Wind she disappeared and Suigetsu sighed, getting up.
" Told you that you shouldn't have ignored the call, moron." Karin barbed.
He merely perked a brow and flipped her off before disappeaing.
He appeared in an abandoned street. It was nearing morning, yet there was no light besides the lamposts as it merely lit the street, but Suigetsu saw the body sprawled at the edge of the light in the street.
The body was on it's side, their clothes baggy but resting on their pretty figure, skin pale in death as her black hair was pooled around her head with blood. Her face was beautiful, even when it was streaked with blood, eyes delicately closed as he looked over it.
He then looked around, seeing a flitting Shadow.
" Oi, I know you're there, come on out."
The shadow shivered and he rolled his eyes.
" It's not like I'm going to hurt you, you're already dead."
There was a pause before they stepped out to show the girl on the ground, her eyes like pearls as they glowed at him.
" You have very pretty eyes." He could have slapped himself after it slipped out of his mouth
The girl stared at him for a moment before she got a twitch of a smile.
" A-At a time like this, th-that's all you have to say?" He blushed slightly as she giggled.
" W-Well... Come on."
He turned around and motioned for her to follow him.
She fell into step beside him.
" W-What's your name?" She asked.
" Suigetsu."
" Are you Shinigami?"
" I thought it was obvious." He rolled his eyes as she figited in embarassment.
" S-Sorry."
" Don't be. Why were you out here at this time of night?"
" I... I needed to get away. G-Guess it worked in a way, ne?"
" Guess it did." There was a pause. " What's your name anyways?"
She smiled slightly.
" Hinata."
He grinned and nodded.
" Well, Hinata, as your trainer we'll be spending quite a bit of time together."
She nodded.
' Maybe this won't be so bad after all.'
