Josh Schwartz was considered successful by many. Heck, not to be self-absorbed but he even considered himself successful. However, the thing he was most proud of was the one thing he would never speak of. There was one certain thing that made him feel like he had really done something worth while.
Of course, there was the television show he had created. No doubt. Of course, he was proud of that.
He also was the youngest person to create a television series of that magnitude. His whole family was proud of that.
The stars of his show had become big names. Seeing them acting in other ventures made him feel as if his own kids had graduated high school and were becoming grown ups. He couldn't help but smile at their success, knowing that he had played a small part in it.
He was also proud of the friendships that had formed through "The O.C." Josh was glad there hadn't been any conflicts as there had been between the casts of other shows in the past. He was convinced that casting had been the work of God himself. The entire cast got along fantastically. And if they didn't, then they really were brilliant actors and professionals. Or amazing liars.
Josh was amazed at the merchandise his show had created. An entire online store was full of 'The O.C.' items. Nothing could compare to seeing someone on the street wearing a t-shirt that said those five little words that he had written so long ago.
Well, there was one thing that could compare to that sight.
One thing that Josh was most proud of. More than anything else he'd accomplished.
One thing that made him smile the widest. But also made him turn his eyes away and hide his grin.
One thing that really made him feel successful. But he didn't dare brag about.
One thing that he couldn't share with anyone. No one but God.
One thing that could be seen on film but was denied out loud.
One thing that Josh felt everyone knew was there but they refused to address.
If it was mentioned, the subject would be immediately changed. Not that anyone would bring it up in the first place.
Yes. There was one thing that made Josh Schwartz know he was successful.
That one thing was Peter and Kelly.
