Rory and Tristan entered Chilton playfully bantering.
"You know what?" Rory said.
"What" Tristan asked interested.
"I had to go to your high school reunion where I didn't know anybody. And you have to go to mine, where you probably know more people than I do." Rory pouted.
"Yea," Tristan smirked. "Oh well"
Tristan and Rory entered the registration foyer and checked in.
"And you are?" asked the lady at the desk.
"Rory Gilmore +1" They got their nametags and headed into the room.
"I'm going to get some drinks and catch up with some people." Tristan told Rory.
"Okay." Rory replied as she went to search for Paris, who had been a bridesmaid at their wedding, and was ambushed by Madeline and Louise.
"Hey Rory!" Madeline bubbled.
"Have you seen Tristan? He is looking so…Mmm Mmm!" Louise added.
Rory looked at her husband and smiled as she realized Madeline and Louise didn't know that she married him.
"I see that smile," Madeline said. "You think he is hot don't you?"
"You should have pounced earlier. He was so in love with you in high school. Now however, he has been happily married to the Hayden heiress for like, years." Louise gossiped. Rory just smiled and was about to change the subject when Madeline did it for her.
"Ooo, cute!" Madeline said as she admired Rory's bracelet. "I love charm bracelets!"
"It's not just a charm bracelet." Seeing Madeline and Louise's confused looks, she continued. "My husband gave it to me on our first anniversary. Every year he gives me a new charm for it. First is a heart representing our love for each over, then a Yale charm because that is where we reconnected. The third year was a coffee because we kept bumping into each other at the coffee cart before we started dating. And this one," Rory continued, pointing to a charm, "represents our daughter, and lastly…
"You had a kid and you're still hot! Not fair!" Madeline said enviously.
"Thanks" Rory said blushing "I think."
"What's the last charm? Is that a bible?" Louise asked.
"Oh, yea. It has to do with nicknames we had for each other. He called me…"
"Mary!" Tristan interjected. "Listen to the song" Rory paused and listen, and started smiling.
"Do you think I could borrow my wife for a dance." He asked, directed at Madeline and Louise. "Thanks", he said as they nodded, dumbfounded.
"What's with them," Tristan asked.
"They are amazed that you are my husband, and that I'm the Hayden heiress.
Meanwhile, "Oh my gosh! Rory married Tristan!" Louise exclaimed as Paris walked by. Seeing her, Louise asked Paris "Did you know that Rory married Tristan?"
"Yeah," Paris replied "I was a bridesmaid."
"I thought he married the Hayden Heiress."
"He did."
Just then, Summer walked onto the stage. "I'm pleased to announce that we have had a couple Chilton- Chilton marriages. Joe Rhoco married Reese Jones, Charlie Tievy married Violet Salt, and Rory Gilmore- Hayden married Tristan Dugrey. Congratulations"
The room was silent as everyone processed what she just said. Rory Gilmore, was a Hayden, and Tristan had gotten her to marry him. In Chilton, Rory had been glad to see Tristan go.
As everyone processed this, Rory and Tristan slipped out the door for some air.
