Disclaimer: I do not own Wakfu. If I did… I'm afraid it wouldn't look so awesome.

Sir Sadlygrove Percedal was a Iop of big words. Evangeline sometimes wondered if some of her lover's promises were even worth a broken Kama - Especially those said with grandiloquent timbre.

Percedal tried his best to keep the promise about postponing his adventures for some time. He really did. What was suppose to be just few weeks long trial, those weeks turned into months. Months into years. Gradually the steady life stopped to be a test and turned out to be permanent deal. Thus Rubilax was mostly hanging on a hanger quietly, barely talking as if dozing off, next to the rags which once were Iop's Knight uniform.

Grovy tried to cover up his frustration behind bash behaviour and playful smirks. He really did. Yet Evangeline quickly realized that the smile constantly plastered to his face, just as his playful approach, was an empty play, lacking the special 'sparkles' in his eyes.

Rubilax wielder tried to find a job, he really did. Unfortunately the steady life just wasn't for him. He couldn't cook, clean, trade or even cultivate crops. All his efforts were in vain – Grovy was able to burn even water, all the pots were breaking in his inexperienced for the task hands while crops didn't even started to grow out to be already spoiled. The only activity which brought just a little of a makeshift joy to Shushu wielder was chopping wood.

The Iop Knight tried to take care of his son, he really did. He tried to fit the title of 'Daddy' his master called him at the time they've parted. Percedal tried to humour his offspring too. Yet every time the child asked his father to play a game which involved 'going to an adventure' Sadlygrove would halt in the middle of a gesture, smile dropping from his face immediately, just to appear again seconds after, but being nothing more but a ghastly parody of it.

The worst days were, however, when the sun was high on the blue sky, the air was hot and dull. Time seemed to slow down, just as if Nox himself woke out from the dead and stopped it's flow with his powers. At days like this Grovy sat by the window of their bedroom with Rubilax and his old cloths on his lap and looked outside the window at the horizon. Or maybe was it beyond it? To the adventures he would never have? Evangeline wasn't exactly sure.

What was really filling blonde archer with worry was not that her lover could spent whole day staring out the window like that, but that he looked as if he wanted to leave.
