"I apologize. We are to late," whispered Godric quietly, as he laid an hand on Salazar's arm. Salazar paid no heed, as he watch the orange flames flicker against the snow. The house was burning to fast for Salazar to do anything to save his students. How could someone he taught, someone he trusted kill his young pupils.
"Salazar, we should go. We don't know how much that mudblood told the muggles," whispered Godric a bit more hurridly. Salazar could feel his friends nervousness about being so close to his burning home. Salazar slowly turned his head to Godric, his eyes slight red from both the bitter cold and the tears slidding down his face.
"They were just children," he whispered, as Godric squeezed his arm again.
"I know. One day things will be different. We will not have to hid our students abilities.
"When we make that school of yours?" Salazar said, as he walked away from his home. From his students, that may still be burning in the house. He hated himself for it. Godric jolted.
"We? That mean you will join in my lady Helga and mine quest?"
"That is what I implied. I have nothing holding me back here in Hogwarts anymore," said Salazar. He knew the future for this school would be hard, if it even got started. He knew that he will see his dead pupils in the faces of the new students. He knew he couldn't allow himself to trust another muggle born again. He doesn't want to chance losing more people he cared about.
