He wondered if there was any significance in the fact that he was getting kicked in the head. Of course, that's why he had put his head here in the first place. He could hear all sorts of things lying like this, it was oddly mesmerizing.

"Auggie?" a drowsy voice spoke up. Oops, he woke her.

"Sorry Annie," he apologized, but he didn't move.

"What are you doing?" she chuckled. Her body shook lightly and moved Auggie's head around.

"Listening," was all he said. Annie smiled at him and her hand reached his hair, running her figures through his freshly clean hair. She chuckled as, again, the baby kicked her husband in the head and he jumped slightly at the impact. "It's so weird…" Auggie said with a grin.

"Yea, try carrying the kid sometime," Annie said. Auggie finally sat up and kissed her tummy before leaning forward and kissing his wife deeply.

"I love you," he said. His hands were on her face and he felt her smile.

"I love you too Auggie," Annie said. Auggie rolled over to his pillow, determined to let her go back to sleep, but still holding her hand, their fingers laced together.

Annie smiled happily as one hand rested on top of her protruding stomach and the other gently gripped that of her husband's. Then, all of the sudden, she felt tightness in her abdomen that felt like nothing she ever felt before.

"Annie," Auggie sat up at the feeling of her hand squeezing his. "Baby what's wrong."

"Aug…I think," Annie let out a breath and accessed herself. "I think it's time."
