Author's Note: Just a little drabble – almost a dribble, really – taking a peek inside Gibbs' mind when Ari shoots at Abby. This is my first attempt at fanfic of any kind...I would really appreciate any kind of feedback!

I subconsciously flinch backwards as I hear the bullet fly past, not quite registering where I am. But when the glass shatters, and I know I'm just above Abby's lab, the world freezes for half a second. Not her, too.

As soon as I can move again, I drop my coffee – its few ounces an unnecessary weight as I rush to get to my girl. My girl. The hot liquid splatters behind me, mingling with the rain as it spills, but it doesn't matter. Anything can be spilled, except my team's blood. Especially not Abby's. God, not Abby! Only Ari's.
