Bubblegum Pink

Ever wonder why Tonks liked to have her hair bubblegum pink? Was it just because she loved the color? Her bubbly personality? Or was it because of a certain candy obsession??? Hmmm….. Makes you wonder, huh? Well guess what? Stop the wondering, because you are about to find the answer!
When Tonks was about 12, she LOVED chocolate! She was the biggest chocoholic there was. But one day she was eating chocolate and suddenly her entire face began swelling!!!!! A quick trip to St. Mungo's and the swelling was better, but she wasn't. She was ALLERGIC to CHOCOLATE! It was so tragic. She became depressed and would only come out of her room when her cousin Sirius was around, or for food. But the depression took hunger off her mind, so she rarely came out of her room even for food after a while. And Sirius was hardly ever around. Her family tried everything, but they just just couldn't get her to eat. 1 week passed, and sure enough, Tonks' birthday arrived.
She left her room for the party, but didn't smile once until cake time. Sirius and the rest of the Marauders arrived at the party late, of course, but with the cake. It was bubblegum, (which the boys had decided a girl must like, because it was pink). The boys urged her to try it, seeing as they had gone through a lot of work in retrieving the cake. The second the dessert touched Tonks' lips, the depression ended. She had a new candy obsession; BUBBLEGUM!
Tonks never proved to be allergic to this treat, so all her life bubblegum was her favorite dessert, and she wore her hair bubblegum pink when she was content, and deep chocolate brown when depressed.
