iLove: The Outcast Debut
It was the sound of the heavy rain pouring the streets of Tokyo,
Or was it the look in his eyes?
The way he called her name?
His saddened but kind smile?
She didn't know, but somehow, everything around her made her uncomfortable;
She felt fragile, unprotected, vulnerable,
Pitiful…Yes. Yes. That's how she felt
"Hey…"-He whispered softly, but the vague sound reached her ears. She stopped her march and kept silent. The umbrella hiding her face from him
"I thought you wouldn't come"- He said, his voice hinting happiness and delusion. She flinched and looked up. He was standing in the rain like some stray dog. His silver hair was down, soaking wet. His cheeks lightly flushed and his eyes…
He looks sad— Her composure shook with the thought, she was weak against that droopy gaze, but she managed to prevent any attempt to touch him, her hand holding the umbrella clenched in a tight fist-"I was just passing by. Go home"- She said and in her mind felt thankful her voice sounded casual and demanding.
His eyes widened. His body was trembling— No. Not caused by the cruel and cold weather but by her coldness, the lack of feelings in her voice and that stoic expression, he always found so hard to decipher.
"Why?"- He asked and paused to hide his nerves-"Is this your answer?"
Giving him a cold glare, she spoke in monotone-"This is my answer"- Her eyes averted to the side as she continued-"Go home; everyone is worried about you…"
"Wait!"- He pleaded. But she turned around and walked away, knowing, that if she stayed any longer, her composure would break and she will run in his arms and beg for him to stay forever by her side, despite the consequences and she couldn't afford to do any of that.
How could she?
He had taken all of her strength. How could she let him take something else?
She took a step forward, fighting the urge to look back.
SPLASH—SPLASH
Her umbrella fell from her grasp and slowly, as if the world had stopped for her, just for her, she felt his warm and delicate arms surrounding her firmly […]
Her body flinched at his touch-"Let go!"
His grip tightened, making her panic
How could she let him take something else?
"Oi! Let g—"- The words stuck in her throat.
"Please…"- He said, his voice overflowing with pain as he whispered in her ear-"Don't run away from me"
Her eyes shut close; she bit her lower lip and remembered […]
