Crash Genesis
Chapter 1
In the lair of the evil Dr. Neo Cortex, he was rubbing his hands together evilly. For years the evil scientist has attempted to take over the world (or follow the orders of the evil mask Uka Uka). The massive lair was located inside of an underground cave, he had gathered up a Power Crystal and planned on using it to power his latest creation. "Yes! Soon with my latest creation, the Cortex Traveler! I'll gather up allies in other worlds and gather new animals to utilize in my Cortex Commandos." Dr. Cortex hopped into his machine, it was a small blimp with a violet coloring to it, and it was armed with several cannons and lasers. The doctor activated his machine and blasted off and left the world of N. Sanity Island, he had his eyes set on his evil goals.
Mobius Prime
Dr. Eggman was piloting his Egg Mobile, he detected an unusual dimensional rift in Tralius, on the island that was once Tasmania. He was getting closer to the source of the rift, and was on high alert. "Interesting… This rift has energies similar to that of the old Genesis Wave. I wonder if my brother's creation has something to do with these rifts." The doctor thought aloud.
Then a red and black colored orb shaped robot popped up from his console, it was hidden because it was in standby mode. "Based on our analysis of the rift. It seems like something from the Genesis Wave caused some tares in the fabric of reality outside of Nazo's control. Of course the Genesis Wave never would've happened if not for the work of your brother."
Dr. Eggman thought back to events from almost two years ago. "It wouldn't be the first time one of his machines caused rifts. Honestly, that whole mess with the Ultimate Annihilator was confusing. Alternate versions of Sonic and others popping up like daisies. Just a downright mess, but thankfully those Zone Cops fixed up everything."
A yellow and black robot named Cubot popped up on the console, he like Orbot was in standby mode. Until just now, "Avast! I think that we be doin' best to leave the rift alone."
"I already made the trouble to come here boys. Especially after you insisted I took some time away from Bokkun." Dr. Eggman scratched his mustache. "I mean don't get me wrong. I love my Dark Chao as much as the next guy. But even I need a break from him, I mean I ended a civil war among Egg Army factions with him at my side. If only Decoe & Bocoe came back from their little trip in Avalon."
Dr. Eggman didn't know it, but Decoe & Bocoe were both captured by the robotic being calling himself Cinos. Cinos had Orbot & Cubot work with Dr. Eggman in an attempt to separate Dr. Eggman from his three loyal lackeys, and with Bokkun separated from the doctor, the plan would for sure succeed. Dr. Eggman was also working on something big that would require the use of the Green Chaos Emerald he claimed from the Freedom Fighters of Downunda. Orbot was truthfully annoyed with the doctor and his antics, and when the time was right he'd drop his façade and turn against Dr. Eggman. The same was somewhat true for Cubot, because the robot wasn't exactly bright when it came to common sense. But Cinos proved time and time again that he was a machine not to be crossed, which was the only reason Cubot knew he had to follow the orders of Cinos.
Dr. Eggman piloted his Egg Mobile and was surprised to find a crashed blimp near one of the portals. Within seconds the portal vanished, "I think we should call those things Genesis Portals. If they are in fact related to the original Genesis Waves." Orbot thought aloud.
"Good idea." The doctor said with a grin, but then he looked at the wreckage and his Egg Mobile detected an energy source. "Hmm… Looks like whoever or whatever flew this thing had… Oh my! This energy is better than a Power Ring." The doctor said as his scanners locked on to the location of the energy source.
Then all of a sudden small scientist with a big head and the letter "N" tattooed on his forehead coughed while getting out of the wreck. The man had quite the black beard and mustache combo, and had on a typical white scientist coat. "Note to self… Don't look at photos while driving… Especially photos of women." The guy mumbled to himself as he walked out and collapsed on the sand.
Dr. Eggman was interested in this man, it looked like he was some kind of a scientist. "What an unusual little man. He said as his Egg Mobile lifted up the man with a robotic arm, Dr. Eggman then got out of the Egg Mobile and found some interesting machinery in the wreckage. "Get the local Egg Army down here stat! We've got to take these findings to the nearest base."
Hours passed by, and in that time Dr. Eggman got the Tralius Egg Army to the wreckage of the blimp the scientist from another world was found at. The wreckage was taken back to the base, and the doctor was very interested in the violet glowing crystal that seemed to be the power source for the blimp. The small scientist, who was roughly four and half feet tall was recovering in the medical room of the hidden base. The technology from his world seemed deceivingly primitive next to Dr. Eggman's technology at first glance, but it was actually on par with Dr. Eggman's tech in some areas. One of the things, an Egg Scientist took notice of, was a mysterious ray that was recovered from what was believed to have been the science lab of the blimp. Eventually the small human scientist woke up, and he screamed loudly.
Dr. Eggman came to the medical bay after his troops and Badniks got everything under control. "Good morning dear doctor." The large scientist said to the stranger.
The small man calmed down, he looked at all of the machines and was starting to wonder where he was. He saw a few beings that looked like they were at some point hit with an Evolvo-Ray, but they were also cyborgs. "Where am I?"
"You're at my secret base in Tralius. And you were rescued by me and my Eggman Empire." Dr. Eggman said while keeping his hands behind his back, he grinned his big toothy grin that he was most famous for. "And I must say that you've got some fascinating technology."
"So you're a fellow scientist?" The man asked, he then asked, "who are you?"
The doctor moved his right hand and placed it on his chest. "I am the Eggman! Dr. Eggman to be precise. And I'm the greatest scientist on planet Mobius." The doctor continued to grin, he was hoping he could get information from the scientist.
"Oh yeah? Well I am Dr. Neo Cortex! And I'm the greatest scientist ever!" The short man claimed.
(Seems like he may have a Napoleon Complex?) The doctor thought to himself as he scratched his mustache. "Then I'm humbled to meet you Dr. Cortex. You're the most interesting man I've met, based on the technology me and my minions have looked at."
Cortex was scratching his chin a little. "You really think so? Then allow me to explain some of my technology to you. That is if I can inspect it and make sure your minions didn't damage any of it." Dr. Cortex took off and ran down a hall.
"Um… That leads to the bathroom." One of the Egg Soldiers said.
Dr. Cortex then yelled out. "I know! I really needed to go!"
Later on Dr. Eggman showed Dr. Cortex where all of his recovered technology was. Dr. Cortex was happy to see his laser gun. He would've been given it, had he not been so focused on the Power Crystal and explaining about how they exist in his world. Dr. Eggman was pleased to hear about the information, he was even more excited when he was shown the Evolvo-Ray. "What can this marvelous machine do?" Dr. Eggman asked his new ally.
"Oh it's quite simple, the Evolvo-Ray as its name implies. Is capable of rapidly evolving an animal into a sentient animal. I created the Evolvo-Ray after the scientific community of my world rejected my genius!" Dr. Cortex said as he was thinking back to his past. "With the Evolvo-Ray, I created my Cortex Commandos. A team of evil elite soldiers who served me and me alone! However some of the subjects I used it on weren't… Perfect." He said as he was thinking about Ripper Roe. "The first animal I used it on made the subject go insane and very hard to control. Almost every animal I used afterwards was perfect. Except for those Bandicoots!"
Dr. Eggman was interested, "Bandicoots you saw?"
"Yes! Crash Bandicoot! And his annoying family have been the blight of my creations!" Dr. Cortex was angry when he talked about the Bandicoot family. A blood vessel was visible on his flat head, "if not for them. I would've taken over my world many times over!"
"I know what that's like. I don't suppose that these Bandicoots, are teenagers or in their early teen years?" Dr. Eggman was making reference to the fact most of the Mobians he fought were in those age groups. He wondered in that moment what life would've been like for them if he didn't mess around with them, or if his half-brother Julian left well enough alone.
Dr. Cortex seemed a little surprised to hear that question, because it was right on the mark. "Yes actually. I don't suppose you've had troubles with animal people as well?"
"Funny you should mention that. You see much like you I have elite fighters on my side, I call them my Egg Bosses." Dr. Eggman said with a grin.
Dr. Cortex almost laughed. "Egg Bosses? You couldn't think of a cooler name?"
"I could, but none of them sounded good with egg in the name. And practically everything in my Eggman Empire has egg in the title." Dr. Eggman adjusted his glasses, he then thought for a moment. "I've also had trouble with some echidnas lately."
Dr. Cortex got an idea. "Talking with you Dr. Eggman has reminded me of why I'm here." He then grinned. "I left on my Cortex Traveler to find new allies in other worlds. And to use my Evolvo-Ray to get new members for my Cortex Commandos." Dr. Cortex looked up at Dr. Eggman and got an idea of how tall the doctor really was. "With my brains and your brains, we can work together to make an animal army on your world loyal only to us. And conquer both of our worlds!"
Dr. Eggman grinned, "I love the sound of that. Especially if I can gain so many new recruits for my Egg Army."
Dr. Cortex grinned as he extended his right hand. "Let's shake on our new alliance."
"Agreed." Dr. Eggman bent a little so his long arm could reach Dr. Cortex's small arm.
Meanwhile in another area of Tralius
A bandicoot with blonde hair jumped out of a Genesis Portal. She had on a pair of overalls and a white shirt, she held in her hand some kind of scanner. "The scans were right, Dr. Cortex landed in this strange world.
Her brother, a taller bandicoot with brownish hair landed next to her as he exited the Genesis Portal. He had a big toothy grin on his face, he scratched his head while looking around the place. Floating next to him was an enchanted mask, the name of the mask was Aku Aku. "We have traveled across time and space. We must locate the Power Crystal and Dr. Cortex before it's too late for this world."
