Five Visitors

The first time Sarah woke up after her son left in a time bubble, her vision was blurry and her head felt like it was being used as a drum. She was only awake for about 5 seconds, enough to hear someone whispering, "She's waking up," before she slipped back into unconsciousness.

The second time Sarah woke up, she couldn't move her arms very well because they were handcuffed to a bed. In a hospital. A nurse came into her room before she had a chance to burst into hysterics right there and then.

"Morning, Sarah. You're going to very popular today. Many visitors want to see you," the nurse told her as she changed her IV.

Her first visitor was Agent Auldridge who repeated her rights and added some more charges against her, which included blowing up the Zieracorp building.

Her second visitor was Ellison. He looked thinner than she remembered. He had stitches along his forehead and his arm was in a sling.

"You look like hell," she told him.

"Look who's talking," he answered. "Do you remember how you got here?"

"Blue bubble." John's gone remained unspoken.

He explained that she had been so close to the energy that it had slammed her against the wall, knocking her unconsciousness and in a coma for the past few days. He had only recently been released from the hospital himself otherwise he would have said something in her defense. She rolled her eyes.

Her third visitor was an orderly with a gun aimed at her.

Her fourth visitor was the resurrected endoskeleton of Cameron who entered immediately after the orderly and zapped his head with a defibrillator. Cameron had promptly snapped Sarah's handcuffs, pulled Sarah's arm around her neck and supported/dragged Sarah along into the hospital hallway.

Not quite completely shocked, Sarah stumbled along, trying to both use her mildly atrophied leg muscles and to listen to Cameron explain how Kaliba downloaded her data into a phosphorus-coated chip and fixed up her endoskeleton in an attempt to use her for their purposes. Oh and those Kaliba technicians are now dead, by the way.

Her fifth sort-of visitor was Savannah Weaver who was waiting in the back seat of the get-away car driven by Ellison.

"What's going on?" Sarah had asked.

"We're going to stop SkyNet."
