Scene 1: Flashback to when Steven was only six, Amethyst was eight, and Lion was a grown-up lion, and from Past Greg and Past Rose, and Past Lion/Bast's points of views.
Greg: "Are you sure? Absolutely sure?"
Rose: "She told me this is where it begins, if we want to defeat the enemy, we must start with the obelisk. We must find out the truth."
Greg: "I don't like it, won't you call on her help?"

Greg shuddered upon the thought that Rose was talking about, while drawing a protective circle around Rose and himself, then tapping on it, making it glows black with gold stripes.
Greg: "Rose, if we fail-"
Rose: "We can't fail, the world depends on it."
Rose and Greg kissed as if they sensed that they were saying goodbye, then they raised their staffs, and wands, and began to chant. The Cleopatra's Needle began to glows rose pink, and black with gold stripes with power, then suddenly a beam of sickly green light/laser came out and shot toward Greg who didn't see it coming but Rose did.
Rose: "Greg, look out!"
Rose pushed her husband out of harm's way but got hitted by the said beam of light/laser, right in her gem, therefore shattering it, as well as killing Rose.
Greg: "UGH!"
Losing consciousness for a while, then upon regaining said consciousness and seeing the body of his wife, lying motionless in front of Cleopatra's Needle.
Greg: "Rose, NO!"
Greg then started to cry over his wife's body, and what's left of her gem was gathered by Bast who was using Lion as her host, willingly of course.
