Disclaimer:I do not own White Knight Chronicles just the words below.
With my inspiration, enthusiasm and all that malarkey at a non-existent level for updating my current fics, I figured I might as well just chuck out some oneshots here & there in the hopes it'll cut me some slack and build up momentum and encouragement to pick up where I left off with things here and elsewhere.

They were three simple words. Simple as anyone could say them as easily as one would breathe yet at the same time bearing a weight that sometimes even the bravest of people did not have the courage to whisper out let alone declare to the world.
When she was younger, Yulie did not truly understand the meaning behind the words, always having fairy tale dreams of herself and Leonard whenever she got the chance and wanting nothing more than to tell him about her feelings she had for him once she was sure of them herself. It was only when she was older, did she realise that telling her crush that she loved him was not as easy as it looked on parchment and fantasies.
As if it were not bad enough trying to pluck up the courage to admit her feelings for the oblivious youth, their quest had revealed a shocking discovery to her in the form of her crush's budding feelings for a certain princess. Not only that, but said feelings appeared to be reciprocated.
With the way things were looking, Yulie knew she was running out of time to make her move on Leonard before he was completely out of her reach and needed to take the next opportunity she got. As if learning of her plight, the Fates granted Yulie her wish the night after their quest took them into the Bunker Lode Caverns.
It was perfect in every way: they were alone and there was not the risk of the Magi or some random monster ruining it. And yet…she could not do it. Even seeing him vulnerable, she could see the devotion he had for the princess. That alone shattered the fragile courage she had steadily built up over the years to tell him that she loved him.
In that moment, Yulie discovered two things: she had floundered too long in telling him. Those three simple words had nothing simple about them.

Short, crappy, one-sided but I figured there had to be at least one of this pairing here.
Review if possible & until next time
