I hate Spirit week. We always are forced to do stupid activities. Like how me and Patti have to do the orange pass; an activity where 12 people, girl to boy, stand in line and try to get the orange to the end of the line by passing it under their chins without dropping it.
"Let's go freshman!" Someone yelled from the bleachers.
"Go!~" My father said through the microphone in that rediculous voice.
Patti and I were at the back of the line and the other freshman ahead of us were hurridly passing the orange to each other.
The orange finally reached me and I just barely got ahold of it. But I didnt grab it exactly in the center of my neck. It was asymetrical! I began to move it under my chin, attempting to fix it, Meanwhile Patti began yelling at me in that 'special way' to pass it to her.
"Damn you Kiddo! Pass the god damn orange!"She said rushing me.
"Not yet!"I said, still trying to move it to the exact center of my neck. She huffed, Grabbing my shoulders, pulling me to her.
"Give it!" She growled. Ok, now being a guy in high school and living with her, the sound sent shivers throughout my body.
Patti grabbed the orange from me and, as she pulled away, I felt her soft lips brush against my neck.
I stiffened and pulled myself away from her, and in the process, fell on my bottom.
The freshman side of the room erupted in noise, some cheering, some laughing. We had won, even though I had slowed us down dramaticly.
Patti started jumping up and down excitedly, the orange now in her hand. Before I could process what was happening, Patti turned to me, threw her arms around my neck and pressed her lips to mine, feircly and full of excitement. It was a quick kiss, just a peck, but it left a need for more. I felt the heat rush to my face.
"I-I'm just going..." I manages to choke out, turning around and walking away. Though I was so shocked I could hardly breath, I smiled.
I just kissed Patti.
OK! So, I know you guys don't all spell Patti like that, but I picked it up from Shinigami-knows-where and it stuck. i'll end up bouncing between spellings. I wrote this a while ago. Actually in my freshman year. Now I'm in my junior year and Spirit Week was last week. It reminded me that this was here! So I posted it! I will write one chapter for each activity we do at my high school. theres alot so bear with me... But I hope to have it done by the end of the month. I'll also do one for todays PINK OUT! friday. For breast cancer awareness though thats not part of out spirit week but a 'week after' activity/dress-up day. In this particular chapter it is 'Character/ Blast From the Past day' So immagine them all dressed up~ I'll leave that to your imagination! (Also, I beleive this pairing doesnt get enough love. So I have decided that if you write a KidxPatti/y fic i will give you a shout out during one of these spitit week activities! link it to me through pm! )
