Ron awoke with a start. Professor Sprout frowned disapprovingly. He was sleeping in Herbology again.

"Get to work Mr. Weasley this is no time for sleeping," she said, a hint of aggravation creeping into her usually cheerful tone.

"Sorry, Professor," Ron said sheepishly picking up the pliers and helping his partner Hermione repot the plants set out in front of them. The bell rang, "Thank God," he thought. He hurriedly put away his tools almost knocking over a Hufflepuff who was putting her tools away.

"Watch it!" she said.

Ron stepped back turning the color of his hair, "Elenor, I…I'm sorry."

Elenor smiled. "It's okay," she said sweetly.

"Um, Elenor."

"Yes?"

"May I walk you to class."

"Yes."

He nearly jumped for joy. He quickly washed his hands and got his books together, dashing to the door to open it for her and then bowing her out.

They walked in a rather awkward for a while, until Ron finally spoke.

"You know I've noticed you before.'

"I've noticed you too."

"Well, I think you're really pretty."

"I think that you're really pretty, er, I mean handsome too."

"Would you like to go out with me next time we go to Hogsmeade?"

"I'd love that."

They had arrived at the Defense Against the Dark Arts room door.

"Well I best be off," he leaned over and gave her a quick peck on the cheek and then practically ran for it. He had just remembered he was going to Snape's class next. He would surely be late. In his rush to get to class he practically ran over Professor Flitwick.

"Sorry, Professor," a clever scheme hatched in his mind, "Um, it is Professor right? May I ask your name please? In that case may I ask my name?"

"Oh dear," Professor Flitwick squeaked, "Has Mr. Malfoy been practicing his memory charms in the hallway again?"

"Is he the blond boy with the gray eyes?"

"We better be getting you to Madame Pomfrey, I'll tell Professor Snape you'll be late, if you'll be coming at all." He lead Ron away.

The next weekend was a Hogsmeade weekend. Ron left the Gryffindor common room at five and met Elenor in the Great Hall. They walked through the gates together towards Hogsmeade. The first place they visited was Honeydukes candy shop where Ron bought her a bag of Bernie Botts' Every Flavor Beans, her favorite candy. They went to the Three Broomsticks where he bought Butterbeers. They talked and laughed as Ron daringly ate a very strange looking teal jellybean with little purple lightning all over it, receiving a slight electric shock and making his hair strand on end. She smoothed his hair down and looked deeply into his eyes.

"I think I've been in love with you since I first saw you," he said. She leaned in closer to him and he took her face in his hand and placed his lips on hers. It was an electrifying kiss due partially to the electricity still present in Ron's body.

"I love you too," she said and then kissed him again.
