"That does not count!" he exclaimed. "Why not?" She replied smartly, trying to repress a grin. "A cat does not count as a first love!" Daniel said exasperated. "I loved Miffy!" Sam carried on happily, faking a pout. "Miffy?" Jack repeated disgusted. "Yeah, she was beautiful, all white an' fluffy!" "Ya do realise she's winding you up. Don't ya?" Jack said playfully to Daniel, after faking to gag. "Well obviously!" Daniel scorned, but looked a bit confused.
"Come on Carter, spill."
"Oh fine. His name was Robert."
"Is that all your gonna say? Jeez! Usually we can't get to you to shut up!" Jack said, then proceeded to grumble that. '2ICs shouldn't hit their COs'
"What happened?" Daniel asks curiously. "He disappeared," She answered quietly, "Just before we were about to tell my father." Jack cleared his throat, put a hand on her shoulder and said, "Well ol' Jacob can be a scary person even without the glowy-eye thingy he can do now." "No, it wasn't like that," she said brushing him off, "he wasn't like that. He was reassuring me for weeks before I got the courage to confront my father." "So what do you think happened to him?" Daniel asked, a bit discouraged that they're Truth or Dare game ended up so serious. "I don't know what happened, but I remember how worried I was he first disappeared.

"So where is this guy I'm supposed to meet?" Jacob said uneasily, he wasn't all too happy that his daughter was 'with someone'. "He's gone to fetch ice cream." Sam replied cheerfully, her confrontation had gone better than expected. "So he's already sucking up huh?" "Dad!" Sam whined, playfully whacking his shoulder. "Oh fine, but it better be Ben & Jerry's!" Just as he was about to get 'the death glare', the phone rang.
"Hello. "Oh. "No he's not. "I don't know. "WAIT!"
She pulled the phone away from her ear and looked at it limply in her hand. "What's wrong, what happened?" Jacob looked worriedly at his daughter. "That was- Robert's father - his sister, Emily -she's run away -he thinks its Robert's fault." She stuttered. "Why would it be Robert's fault?" He asked cautiously. "He was saving up - to get Emily and himself out of there. and away from their father" Sam replied, then began pacing. Jacob watched her for a while then asked, "Are you worried that his father might try and take revenge on him?" "I know he will." she responded quietly.
End of flashback thingy. Now short clip of what's to come. Set straight after Martouf's death in Divide and Conquer.
Sam's holding Martouf on the floor. She moves away and stares in shock at the symbiote, Lantash, as he slithers from Martouf and quickly before anyone can stop him, dives into Jack. Jack stumbled from the impact, his eyes flashed gold and he collapsed on the floor.
