"Maddie? Are you hungry baby?" I asked my beautiful three year old baby girl.
"Yeah!" She said looking up from her coloring page. I smiled at her and picked her up placing her on my hip.
"What are you hungry for?" I asked her. She smiled at me and shrugged.
"Can we get nuggets?" She asked giving me her big blue puppy dog eyes.
"If that's what you want." I said as I set her down. "Go get dressed baby." I said softly as I sat her down on the ground. She ran up the stairs giggling to herself about what I didn't know. I was sitting on the couch pulling on my sneakers when she had come down stairs where her favorite outfit. I smiled. "Go put your shoes on now... Make sure their on the right feet this time."
"Will you help me, Mummy?" She asked me softly. I finished pulling my sneakers on and went over to my daughter, Madeline, helping her pull her shoes on. I picked her up and took her to our small Toyota Prius bucking her into her car seat.
As we drove to McDonald's, I put in the Frozen Soundtrack. She sang along to it and giggled. "Mummy! Look! It's Ronald!" She squealed seeing the clown. I looked in my mirror to see her face lighting up at the sight of him. She was my baby... Mine and Harry Styles. After he had found out about our daughter I was almost seven months pregnant and he was engaged to someone else. It had torn my heart out so I went back home to Boston, where I gave birth two months late. Madeline didn't know about her father being Harry Styles. She didn't ask about her father much either and I was thankful for that.
I pulled into a parking spot and looked back at her. "Mummy? I'm staaaaaarvvving!" She pouted as I got out and helped her out of her car seat. As soon as she was out of it she ran to the door giggling. Her run was more like a hop than anything else. As we went inside I didn't notice that Harry and Niall were there with Niall's nephew Theo. Theo was eating his fries and talking up a storm. We ordered and got our food before going to sit down.
"Can I go play mummy?" Madeline asked softly as she went to get up. I sighed slightly and nodded. She ran off to the play set. I looked up to see Harry walking towards me. I stood to go get Maddie but he had grabbed my arm.
"Cara... Is it really you?" He asked his voice was so smooth and confident. I swallowed hard and nodded. "Oh God! Niall! It really is her!" He said pulling me close to him. "I've missed you so much." He whispered softly hugging me in his strong arms. I sighed a sigh of relief. "Where is she?" He asked softly.
"Who? Madeline?" I asked shyly. It had been over three years since I had last seen him.
"Is that our daughter's name?" He asked.
"Yes it is. You should see her... She's gorgeous!" I said softly.
"Well where is she?" He asked impatiently looking around to find his daughter. I pointed to the window of the play set and laughed waving at the toddler waving at us. She crawled away and went to the slide and slid down it before running to me.
"Mummy! Mummy! Did you see me?" She asked squealing. I nodded and scoped her up into my arms.
"I did! I did!" I said smiling at her. Harry came over holding Theo and smiled at me. "Maddie, I want you to meet someone." I whispered softly.
