Kenny was in an extremely uncomfortable state.
He was alone in the Kinomiya dojo with an emotionally unstable Tyson. The bluenette and Kai were not exactly on the best of terms, speaking in the context of relationships.
The short genius longed to offer some sort of solace to his life long friend, but people like him just weren't good at the stuff. It wasn't like those things had been taught in school, or may be found in step-by-step manuals.
Kenny's conscience was wrecked with guilt.
He was sitting on the couch with Dizzy on his lap. Just across him was Tyson, with eyes red and puffy from all the crying. It seemed that his tears had run out for now; the boy was staring ahead, lost and dazed.
The brunette sighed, put Dizzy down on the low coffee table and walked over to the desolate teen to hug him tightly.
This comforting jig was worth a cheap shot.
"If someone hurts you, don't bother. If someone fools you, don't mind them..."
Beneath him, Kenny could feel the slight tremblings from the Jap bluenette's frame as he prepared himself to cry again.
"If someone breaks your heart, forget it! But remember..."
Tyson hiccuped in response to the suspense.
"Time doesn't heal the wounds..." Those words seemed odd coming from Kenny's lips...
...until he added, "Platelets do."
