Somewhere in the emptiness that is the realm of darkness two beings, or rather non-beings came into existence, if that is what you would call it. The first was a girl with pale skin and hair, rosy cheeks, and light blue eyes. The other arrived much later than the first, this one a boy. He had golden hair and deep blue eyes. Neither knew their names, but they knew what they were. A sense of familiarity swept over both of them as they beheld each other. The walked closer to each other, surrounded by nothing but blackness. The girl was so lovely that she almost glowed in that darkness.
"Where are we?" the boy asked after a moment of gazing at her.
"I don't know," the girl answered, her voice soft and slightly confused. "What's your name?"
"I don't know," the boy replied, finding that neither of them knew much about their present situation. He felt incomplete. She was feeling much of the same.
"I'm not sure what to do now," the boy said dejectedly.
"We can figure it out together," she comforted.
"I feel as if I know you," he told her, sitting down. She did the same, sitting across from him so that they faced each other. "Like we're connected somehow."
"It's the same with you for me. Perhaps there is some purpose we serve together." She suggested.
"Maybe. . ." the boy agreed and for a moment they were silent.
"I do not think we're supposed to be here. . ." She whispered with a growing sense of dread. She stood and looked around her as if whatever she feared was looming around them. He stood and took her hand. Instantly they were being pulled in different directions by an unseen force.
"Wait," the boy cried futility.
"Perhaps we were not meant to be together just yet," the girl said sadly as the force slowly pulled them farther and farther away from each other.
"No, I've only just met you, you're the only one I know." he protested.
"It's ok, Roxas," She said finding his name at last. Both could feel their brief memories of each other slowly fading. "We will meet again." And then she smiled. The boy knew that she was right, but still did not want to leave her. "Until then, remember our whispers in the dark." But he did not remember.
