Chapter 1: The Trip
I looked around Camp Half-blood. I breathed in the last breaths of the Summer air. I sighed smiling. Summer just ended and everyone that didn't live here year round was packing to go home for the school year.
I had finally finished backing up the little stuff that I had left. As I stood there on the hill, I could see the change that the camp took on ever since Percy Jackson came here. I wasn't here when he came and instantly became a camp legend.
"Hey there, MacKenzie." Nico said. I smiled.
"Hey gramps." I joked. I was able to get him to smile. I felt a surge of satisfaction. "How is everything going?" I asked. Nico used to not have any friends and he hated Camp Half-blood after his sister died. But we have bonded when we went to Tartarus together. I went there again afterwards with Percy and Annabeth.
He smiled. "Great. I am so glad that we finally finished cleaning up after Gaea." I knew what he meant. I was there during the Battle Against Earth. The statue of Athena still stood tall in the center of camp. The statue was ten feet tall and was made from gold and ivory. Nico, Reyna, and Coach Hedge brought it here by shadow traveling.
It was moved there shortly after the chaos of the camp. It how symbolizes the newfound friendship between the Greek and Roman demigods.
"Hey there MacKenzie" I asked. She blushed as she thought about her boyfriend.
"He's at Camp Jupiter." She told me. He went from being a Praetor to being a Pontifex Maximus. He has been going between camps and helping build temples for gods, minor and major, as well as cabins for minor gods.
He has been doing a really good job at doing it too. He had been getting help from the children of Athena. Being the son of Jupiter, he has a lot resting on his shoulders. It's the same with Nico and Percy, they have a lot of people depending on them because they are the children of the big three, Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades.
I am the child of the Goddess Calliope. She is the muse of epic poetry. She helped Homer right the Iliad and the Odyssey. So when epic poetry turning into books, fiction and nonfiction, she noticed that her children could go in between worlds. But only to the fiction books.
I am what is known as a view of world. But I am also a Changer of Fate. I was on the Argo II but not as one of the prophecy of the seven. I was just a passenger.
"So do have another Assignment from your mother?" Nico asked. I nodded.
"I'm being assigned as Bella's cousin in a Twilight fanfiction." I told him. "My name will be Kayla Swan." I explained. Instantly I looked different. My hair shortened to my shoulders. It was also darker and wavy. Without even looking, I knew that my eyes turned into the chocolate brown eyes that were like Bella's. I also lost my freckles, and turned pale.
I still had my tattoos and the bite mark that I got from James when I went into Twilight at ten. That worried me just a bit.
"Really. Well, I hope that goes well." Piper said walking down the other side of the hill to a really nice car. I saw her movie star dad standing there waiting for her.
They hugged before they put her stuff into the trunk of his car. She waved good bye to us before they drove off. I smiled. Her dad still doesn't know what this camp is truly about, but it was better that way.
"Well, I should get going Nico. I have a plane to Forks to catch. The worlds are already fused together." I gave him a hug. I liked Nico, he was a year younger then me, but he was still a friend of mine.
"Bye, I'll see you next summer." He said. "Here, take this with you. Tyson made it. I want you to have it. It may come in handy." He said handing me a bracelet.
"What is it?" It had a jewel on it that looked like Onyx.
"It's a stygian iron dagger." He told me as he pulled the gem off. It turned into a polished black iron dagger. "Just pull it off and put it next to it to put it back." He explained as he put the dagger back. As it neared the bracelet it turned back into the gem.
"Cool. Thank you so much." I said hugging him again.
"Don't you have a plane to catch?" He asked.
I laughed. I gathered my stuff and headed down the hill. My boyfriend was already waiting for me. I saw his black Boss 302 supercharger before I saw him. He stood there in all his glory. His bright blue eyes and golden blond hair. He was taller then me, but that was perfect for me.
"Hey babe." He greeted. I smiled and kissed him.
"Hey Apollo." Yeah, I was dating the sun god, sue me.
He gave me his award winning smile. I loved his smiles.
He cleared his throat.
'Oh how I love you
You are so beautiful
You are my true love'
His haiku was cheesy, I laughed.
"I'm pretty sure that the second line has 6 syllables." I told him.
He laughed. "It depends on how you pronounce it." I rolled my eyes. His ego sometimes didn't allow his to be wrong.
I put my stuff in the car and hopped in the front seat. "Hey try not to let anyone fall in love with you while you're there, OK." Apollo said to me. I gave him a look. "Well you let me fall in love with you." He said. He kissed me before driving to the airport.
When he says stuff like that, I felt like I was the most important thing in his life, even more important than the sun.
"Promise me that Forks will be less cloudy while I way there." I asked.
Once at the airport, I got out of the car. Apollo help me with my bags. I found my gate easily once I was scanned. Little did they know that I was the most dangerous weapon that anyone could have. The girl that took my ticket notices my tattooes.
"A mockingjay, the dauntless sigh, but what's the other one from?" She asked.
I smiled politely. "It's from a book that I'm writing. I will publish it someday if I'm lucky. The book will be called Dweller's. It's the sign of the rebels in the book." I explained.
She smiled. "Well I will keep an eye out for it." She said and let me onto the plane. I hugged Apollo goodbye.
"Come visit soon, OK?" I asked. He chuckled softly in my ear.
"Baby, I wouldn't dream of staying away from you for three whole months." He whispered before kissing me. I got onto the plane with tears in my eyes. I knew that he would keep his promise, but I didn't know when that would be.
I sat down and tried to fall asleep. I didn't sleep well anyway, but without Apollo, I failed miserably.
A/N: sorry that it's a little cliffhanger but it's my first crossover ever, enjoy and review.
