Hi! So, this is flo4ever's very first fic ever. I was listening to Alanis Morisette's 'Hands Clean', and it inspired me to write this semi-demi half-acceptable songfic.

If it weren't for your maturity none of this would have happened
If you weren't so wise beyond your years I would've been able to control myself

"Rin" Sesshoumaru pulled her close to his body, ignoring the shivers his voice sent up to her spine when he uttered her name.

If it weren't for my attention you wouldn't have been successful and
If it weren't for me you would never have amounted to very much

It was all so very new to him. These.. emotions. She had come to him one night, in all her innocence.
"Sesshoumaru-Sama, have you ever been in love?"

Ooh this could be messy
But you don't seem to mind

She looked at him, her earth-brown eyes searching his stoic pose. However, before she could even detect some faint, hidden emotion, his breath was already whispering to her lips.
And he kissed her.

Ooh don't go telling everybody
And overlook this supposed crime

It was wrong. A demon lord, falling in love with a mere ningen. Yes, love.
He thought it was stupid of her to ask such an ignorant question with such an obvious answer.

We'll fast forward to a few years later
And no one knows except the both of us

Could he really love her with his entire being? Did he dare to put such shame to his kind, to his family? Then again, he had already committed a sin for denying his feelings all along. She was the only one that needed to know, he decided.

And I have honored your request for silence
And you've washed your hands clean of this

He gently pulled away, letting his actions simply speak for themselves. Would she understand what would happen if he were to let this mere infatuation develop into something deeper? Was she simply lusting after him, using him to satisfy her own hopes and dreams? Why now did she-


"Because I am very much in love with you, Sesshoumaru-Sama"
