I wrote this one-shot for Quirky Del, who was awesome enough to put me in her "Frozen Pulses Flutter" as Race's girl. awww ;D It's an amazing story, and if you haven't read it, do. Read "Old Friends" first, though, or you may be a tad bit confused!

Disclaimer: I don't own Jack or Del. Del owns them both. (Technically Disney owns Jack, but for this one-shot, we'll let her have him. hehe)

Here ya go!

Snowy Afternoon

Del stood out in the cold, liking the way she could see her puffs of air come out right in front of her face.

"Winter is the best time of year!" Del announced to the newsie standing a few feet away from her. "Don't you just like the way it glistens when the light hits it, how it crunches under your feet when you walk on it, and the way you can smush it all together to make the perfect snowball?"

Francis 'Jack Kelly' Sullivan stood right next to his girl, arms folded, with a scowl on his face.

"No, I don't like any of those things. It's too cold, I have to sell papes to customers who only are outside for a few minutes, and if I was in Santa Fe, I would be warm right now!"

Del shrugged at his last complaint, "Aw, Jack, lighten up! Besides, you wouldn't go to Santa Fe because then you'd miss me too much."

Jack blushed, and then tried to cover it up quickly, "Can't we go back inside yet?" He glanced down at his worn boots, "I can't feel my toes anymore. I would say that's a good reason not to like winter. It takes away the feeling of major body parts."

"Eh, what good are toes anyway? C'mon, let's go build a snowman!"

Del linked her arm through his and pulled Jack over to a large area with tons of snow on the ground.

Del turned to Jack, "This looks like a good enough spot, don't ya think?"

"Uh huh," Jack answered distractedly, before reaching his foot out to swipe it under Del's feet.

Jack's laughter rang out as Del sat on the freezing snow.

Del glared up at Jack "Oh, you think that's funny, do you, Francis?"

"Ye-"

Next thing Jack knew, he was on the ground next to Del with a very sore backside. This time, it was Del who got to laugh.

"You should've seen your face!" Del said as she wiped tears from her eyes.

"That really hurt!"

"Oh poor baby, do you need a kiss to make everything better?"

Jack nodded and leaned in to receive the promised kiss. In the process he grabbed a handful of snow, and (still kissing Del) slowly reached his arm behind her.

Del started screaming, "COLD COLD COLD!!" She jumped up and down, trying to get the snow to fall out of her coat, "You're going to pay for that, Francis!!"

Jack looked on with a smirk, that is, until Del had gotten all of the snow out and proceeded to tackle him. Though Del was smaller than Jack, she still could get him pinned down under her.

"I'll let you go if you promise to build the snowman with me." Del started to pout, knowing Jack couldn't resist it.

Jack sighed, "Fine, let's go."

Del stood up and grabbed his hand to help pull him up. Instead of getting pulled up, Jack slipped and brought Del back down on top of him. To any passerby, they looked pretty comical.

Jack crawled over to a patch of snow that hadn't been touched yet. He then picked up some snow, rolled it into a snowball, and threw it at Del, who soon retaliated with a snowball of her own. Seeing Jack with snow on his freezing face was just too adorable, so she gave him a quick kiss before pushing snow down the back of his coat as he had earlier done to her.

That was how their afternoon went, in the same cycle, with each trying to get revenge for what the other did. They didn't actually get the snowman done, but they were both okay with that, frolicking in the snow with one another was way more fun.

Reviews would be most appreciated:) Thanks everyone!
