6-year-old KC POV

Hi my name is KC Costonis and I'm 6 years old. I just moved to Southern California from Orlando, Florida.

I have a sister named Melody she's 5 years old.

We moved here to be closer to my mom's best friend and her younger sister. Who had her first child 3 years ago his name is Zack Burke.

A year ago my 'dad' left my mom well he wasn't my dad he was Melody's I never knew my dad he died a few months after I was born.

Anyway my new house is huge its got 6 bedrooms 3 bathrooms a kitchen a living room and a dining room. Sense I was the oldest I got to pick my room first.

I walked up-stairs to look at all of the rooms. I found one with a balcony on it wow.

This place was empty my moms friends are coming over to help us move in they have a little boy she doesn't know the name of.

I ran down-stairs when I heard my name being called.

"Yes mommy" I said when I got down stairs

"This is my best friend Lilly and her husband Mike Litman can you say hi," she said

"Hi I'm KC Costonis" I said and shock their hands.

"Hi KC hold on let me go get Riley" she told me and walked off to her car

"Riley is mad because he can't get a puppy" his dad said I giggled.

"OK Riley please say hi," Lilly said

A boy a good 4 inches taller than me with hazel eyes and no two front teeth came up to me.

"Hi I'm Riley Litman," he said

"Hi I'm KC Costonis," I said and he smiled.

12-year-old KC POV

Riley, Sam, Jackie, and I have been friends forever now.

Oh and I can't for get my cousin Zack we don't get to see him that much in school but he moved in with me a few years ago when hi dad left.

Today is Riley's 13th birthday.

And I got him a Basketball.

He was having a birthday party after school today and it was going to be Sam, Jackie, Zack, his parents, and me.

Did I tell you that my moms going to have a baby anytime now?

It's Lunchtime when I was called to go home I have no clue why.

When I got to my Aunt she told me that I was going to Riley's birthday but we had to get to the hospital.

When we got there my mom had given birth to my little brother Corey Riley Costonis. His middle name was Riley cause it is Riley Litman's birthday.

16-year-old KC POV

It's been a week sense I found out Riley's got a girlfriend.

I'm not jealous Jackie says I am but I'm not I'm his best friend.

Were heading back from an investigation and all I can think about is Riley.

Why can't I get him out of my head?

"KC…? Are you OK," my friend Jackie asked

"Yeah I'm fine just can't stop thinking of someone" I told her she looked at Riley then at me I nodded my head.

A few weeks later

I found out that Riley's girlfriend is cheating on him oh how am I going to tell him.

That night there was a tapping on my balcony door I got up and grabbed my Field Hockey stick.

When I opened the door I was about to hit the person but I heard sobbing. I looked down to see Riley on his knees.

"Riley!?" I yelled he looked up his eyes red from crying. "Get in hear it's raining out I said and pulled him in.

"What's wrong?" I asked while helping him to his feet.

"She broke up with me," he said

"Riley that's nothing to be sad about" I told him

"Why?" he asked

"Because she was cheating on you," I told him

"Why didn't you tell me?" he asked

"Because I thought you would think I was jealous, " I said looking down

He lifted my chin "I would never think that Case" he told me and Kissed mw on the lips.

Riley: yeah sure

KC: Riley be nice to her.

Me: thanks KC
