Okay giving this story another shot... No this is not the origional, in fact I haven't even read the origional in about a year. Totally new but with most of the same characters. For starters, this story replaces the series kinda, it basicaly follows that timeline with lots of changes.
Hope you enjoy it anyways! BTW, if I owned any of the Weiss Kreuz characters do you really think I would be writing a fanfic?
Mission: Rebron
Chapter One: When It All Began...
Aya sighed running a hand through his crimson locks, he was afraid that she would never wake up and even more afraid of what would happen if she did. Ever since that day he had lost control of his emotions, many said that he just couldn't feel anymore but that was far from the truth. In fact, Aya missed the emotions that he had once felt, he wanted them back, wanted the people back that gave him those feelings. With another sigh he stood and walked to the door, a final glance at his comatose sister brought tears to his eyes making him leave. Leaning against the wall he composed himself, if anyone ever saw him like that... Straightening up he wandered through the halls and stairwells, his feet leading the way. A mental shake awoke him to reality. He had a mission tonight that required every ounce of his awareness, if he failed who would take care of his sister?
Silently he walked through the crowded streets ignoring the throngs of pedestrians on either side. For the moment his mind and heart were lost to him, he wanted more than anything to be by her side, to never have to leave, yet at the same time he was afraid to go back. What if someone saw him? Or the powers that be think that he was losing his edge? What if his friends found out? They could never understand, to Aya no one could understand. He slipped down an ally trying to clear his head again. "I'm an assassin," he muttered to himself covering his face with his hands. Unsurprisingly no reassurance came from that thought. Breathing deeply to calm his nerves Aya slid down the brick wall feeling helpless, something he hadn't felt in years.
"Hey you pansy," a gruff voice growled, the hiss of a knife being released slicing through the following silence. Aya gave a shaky sigh before removing his hands, silently he surveyed the man before him.
"If you don't want to be hurt then leave," Aya muttered still sitting on the ground. In an instant it was over: the man lay dead at his feet, angrily Aya ran from the body wanting to escape the world he had so willingly become a part of.
