Mondays.
The title explained itself really.
And Danny knew for sure that he wasn't a Mondays- best day of the whole week kinda guy.
He thought he wouldn't be joining the fan club for them soon either.
And he had his reasons.
It just seemed Monday was the - no coffee because the pot was broken- cant have a shower because the cold water isn't working - walked out of the house with your slippers on - cant get back in to wear shoes as you left your keys in the house and neighbour wont be home for another 8 hours so will have to go to work in your slippers kinda day.
But when he met her he realised he could grow to love them.
He loved going to sleep on a Sunday night knowing that the next morning he would be greeted by the warm sight of her friendly brown curls. The reassuring smell of lavender from her soap. Being able to pull back his curtains and see bluebirds and other friendly animals singing on his balcony and the sun shining bright, people swinging on lampposts and dancing on the street.
Okay maybe not the last part because that might just be plain scary.
But that was the kinda of feeling he'd wake up with.
Like electricity was running through his veins.
And it would set him up for the whole day.
In fact he may just go and join the people swinging on lampposts and dancing.
It was like he had been in a box with high walls and couldn't see past them. Now she had helped him climb these walls and he was on the other side and couldn't remember what it was like to be behind those walls.
And yes sometimes the coffee pot would break. But that was okay he would maybe have tea instead or buy something from a café round the corner. And yes sometimes he couldn't have a shower because there was no cold water. But hey, there were showers at work and at her place, maybe he would take one there. And okay once he did walk out with his slippers on but as soon as he realised it he turned back to retrieve his shoes, however all he saw was her leaning against the doorframe, her fingers daintily holding the laces of his shoes, loosely swinging them side to side, wearing that seductive smile of hers.
