Hey, Sherlock!
By LMR
Summary: Everybody's heard this Sherlock Holmes joke...now how would it sound with OUR Sherlock and the anti-Watson??

Detectives Goren and Eames had fallen asleep for the night in the great outdoors. What they were doing sleeping in close proximity in the great outdoors is none of our business. I'm sure they had a very good, 'K' rated reason for being there. Perhaps they were on a stakeout, in which case the naughty ducks should not have been asleep. Maybe there was evidence under the soil that would only be revealed if given constant pressure for seven hours by precisely two masses of 6'4 and 5'3 laying prone on the ground, at which point the evidence would seep up through the soil and be available for collection. Maybe they had been given curare and couldn't move. Maybe some challenge writer had made her call him "cuddle monkey" and they were laughing so hard they went into catatonia. But there they were, laying on the ground, looking up at the sky.
"Hey, Bobby. Look up at the stars. What do they make you think of?"
"Well," he said thoughtfully. There's Camelopardalis. It's best seen in February, and it means the giraffe. It represents the Biblical camel that carried Rebecca to Isaac: Maybe Rebecca rode a giraffe, I don't know. It's a modern constellation, the 18th largest, actually. There's Draco right next to it. Did you know the next Harry Potter book is coming out in 137 days? You know: The motto of Hogwarts: Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus means 'never tickle a sleeping dragon.' There's so much humor in those books people don't notice. Lots of mythology, too. There's speculation that Hermione might have been named after Hermes Thrice Great, considered the keeper of great wisdom. Some say Peeves the Poltergeist is some kind of Forbidden Planet alter-ego of Dumbledore. Forbidden Planet was the first movie to have Robbie the Robot, you know, before Lost in Space. You like sci-fi, right Eames?" He didn't wait for an answer. "I like the Star Wars, novels, especially Timothy Zahn, he's very talented. He created this effect called the Force Bond." He smiled peacefully. "I really like that one. One day, two Jedi who hadn't gotten along at first, I mean, after she quit trying to kill him, they just bonded and suddenly they were inside each others' heads and didn't even need to talk to communicate." He looked at Eames. "The tie-ins are surprisingly good books. Lots of detail and scientific touches."
Alex rolled her eyes. She had intended to let him go on for a little while, figuring he would get the point.
He wouldn't, apparently. "Also, there's a -"
"Hey, Sherlock!" she interrupted loudly. "Somebody. Stole. Our. Tent."
