A Kiss like Pocky

A ShikiXOC oneshot

"Modeling's a pain," moaned Shiki, yawning, as he, Rima and Hanako headed back to the Moon Dorms.

Not only did they not have a car to pick them up, but at work the lighting had given up on them and an hour had been wasted ordering someone to fix them, those people not being able to fix it, and then new lighting being brought in.

Rima and Hanako simply nodded to show they had heard Shiki's statement.

They weren't very talkative.

"We're bac-" Hanako stepped into the hallway of the Moon Dorm to be greeted with a rare occurrence –it was empty.

"They're not here?" Rima asked, coming to stand beside her.

"Seems like it."

"Do we have to look for them?" Shiki asked Hanako, seeing her expression.

"I'll be outside." Rima said, complying instantly.

"Then we'll take the here and the rooms." Shiki replied.

The trio nodded.

Shiki glanced at his companion.

She seemed to be like him, strong and seemingly emotionless, yet he and Rima knew that she secretly worried about everything - especially the other Moon Dorm members.

Having found no-one in the building, Shiki and Hanako were lazing around in his room.

"What should we do now?" Hanako asked, nibbling anxiously on a pocky stick.

Shiki glanced over at his friend. Although her expression was a concerned one, he found an unusual urge to tease her.

As she bit into the next pocky stick, he leaned forward to snatch it between his teeth.

There wasn't an inch between their faces before Shiki pulled back, the chocolate-coated confectionery in his mouth.

Seeing Hanako's red face, he couldn't help smirking.

"W-what are you doing?" She stammered, not bothering to hide her surprise.

She turned away, an action Shiki knew she used to hide her embarrassment.

"If you want pocky just ask for it, idiot," she said, her tone more annoyed than anything else, "don't surprise me like that. You'll make me think… After all, we're just… friends."

The friend-zoned one let out one of his rare chuckles.

"You see…" He paused, watching Hanako carefully, "the problem with friend-zoning is that the friend-zoned are usually in love with the friend-zoner."

Said friend-zoner didn't have a chance to respond before soft lips pressed down upon her own.

They tasted just like pocky.

My first (short) oneshot! I actually think that thing with the friend-zoning is true.
