"They have us surrounded!" Screamed Pearl toward her beloved leader Rose Quartz. Rose looked about...their was no sugarcoating it...their were in trouble...what was supposed to be a simple recon mission had turned into an ambush situation! They were outgunned, outnumbered, and completely outmaneuvered! Rose's bubble was keeping their blasters at bay...but she was growing weary...soon...soon they'd fall-

Suddenly, a giant golden cyclone came down and swept them all up, poofing them all! Rose looked on astonished at the elderly human that had effortlessly destroyed several hundred Homeworld Gems.
"Who are you?" She asked amazed.
The man looked at her. "I am Sensei Hiroshi, Creator of Spinjitzu, protector of mankind. And I have come to join forces with you Rose Quartz! To protect this world from the dark forces that even now besiege it!...and maybe have tea if there's time..."

Steven Universe hummed a happy tune...today had been great! He'd FINALLY made friends with Connie...it had been an awkward start, what with the accidental bubbling and the giant monster...but it all worked out in the end!
"Hey, Bro! Heard you got yourself a girlfriend!" Steven sighed as his surrogate older siblings; Kai, Zane, Cole, Jay, Lyoid and Nya came over to him...
An elderly Wu and his brother Garmadon smiled as the ninja playfully teased Steven. "So he's gained her bubble ability...he's coming along well." Said Wu impressed.
Garmadon sighed. "If only she was here to see it." He said with regret as he thought fondly of the Gem who'd been the closest thing they'd ever had to a mom...

Connie rushed into the museum. "Sorry I'm late Dr. Sander Saunders! Today was crazy! I- "Forget your excuses intern! The good Dr. needs you to take this package downstairs ASAP!" Shouted the irate Peridot secretary.
"Yes, Ma'am!" Shouted Connie as she grabbed said package and ran downstairs.
Unknown to either...someone watched from the shadows...he looked at his stopwatch. "8 seconds to head downstairs, 9 seconds to end up under that poorly rigged heater, 5 seconds for the egg to hatch from the heat, 6 seconds for it break free-
Connie's scream of pain echo's throughout the Museum. The man smirked as he closed his stopwatch, "Right on schedule..."

AN: in this Garmadon never turned evil, Lyoid is his older self, and the Gem war ended differently(no corruption bomb for one thing), so fewer corrupted Gems and more Gems are living among humans.
AN: I know it says "in-progress" but really I just don't like boxing myself into a corner. For now this is more of a one-shot that I might continue one day...but probably won't.
But, hey. Feel free to use whatever elements you want from this, if you want! Or maybe give me ideas?
