Rate My Kiss
"Luke! Coffee! Need a say anymore?" Lorelai said charging into the diner. Noone looked up all used to the tornado that is Lorelai.
"No coffee." Luke hid the pot behind him. And the fight to win started.
"Yes coffee," Lorelai pouted.
"No."
"Yes!"
"No."
"Yes!"
"No."
"No!"
"Yes."
"Ha, I got you so good that time. I knew Bugs Bunny would come in handy some day." Lorelai cried in triumph.
"How many cups?" Luke asked still hiding the cup.
"None."
"Plus?"
"Six," Lorelai said sheepishly than spoke louder, "I have a real reason this time. It is true too."
"What? Let's hear it," Luke said as he poured her coffee into a to go cup.
"I am running the kissing booth at the fair," She said quickly and snatched her cup. She sprinted out the door but Luke had heard every word. As he watched her go he let out a small chuckle.
"Luke you have to go the fair," Rory yelled as soon as she entered the diner.
"What's the reason?" Luke asked her as he made his way out of the storage room.
"Mom is at the kissing booth and Kirk is 3rd in line!" Luke and Rory were out the door and for the first time running to the square. To see Lorelai and Kirk kiss would be priceless they thought. They got there right on time Kirk was next.
"Hey Lorelai, look now I have a reason to kiss you. Isn't that great?" He then puckered his lips and closed his eyes. Blindly he leaned forward, and to the disappointment of all the town folk who wanted a laugh Lorelai turned her face at the last second. Kirk's lips fell on her cheek. Disappointed Kirk left and went to buy another ticket so that he could get into the long line again.
While Luke and Rory laughed at the sight Ms. Patty and her sidekick Babette came up, "Luke have you taken a chance to kiss Lorelai yet?"
Luke began to stutter, "Well, umm I hhave to ggo to the dddinner." Taylor came up out of nowhere and him and Jackson grabbed Luke and began to drag him to the beginning of the line. They pushed Luke onto the chair and held so that he couldn't leave. Lorelai watched in amusement.
"Let go of me!" Luke yelled even though he knew he could easily break free. They did but stayed close to him.
"Sure sugar," Babette said an idea already forming in her head, "As long as the two of him share a kiss." When she had finished talking she gave Luke one hard shove in the back. This caused Luke to lean forward and like planned his lips landed on Lorelai's. Instead of pulling away instantly they held each other closer, so close that Lorelai was pulled onto Luke's lap and she sat there comfortably. With a loss of air they pulled apart but their foreheads stayed close.
"How was it?" Luke asked her.
"Well, after Kirk's I have to say you come in second. Kirk is in first still," She said playfully.
"Let me change your mind, persuade you in my favor," They leaned in to kiss again this time using tongue, taking a step further. Luke carefully got up, keeping her in place by grabbing her butt. Her arms wrapped around his neck.
"Diner," They both whispered at the same time before kissing again. There they went not knowing that the town were doing cat calls at them.
As Rory watched them before going home she said only one word, "Finally!"
