I don't own anything, Naruto belongs to Masashi Kishimoto

Only a few days had passed since Gaara had been brought back to life, however, death or not, the village goes on. As the Kazekage, Gaara had a lot to do. Most of it was just paperwork and meetings.

Gaara was always in the office when the sun rose, if not before. Because of the attack, there was not a mountain of paperwork. He would never complain but he hated paperwork. Most of the time he had it done long before it was due, better to get it done sooner rather than later. He would often work on it in the cool night when everyone was sleeping, but because of the recent attack, he couldn't do that. Security was been tighten a lot so he stayed there during the day rather then dealing with security. He hadn't left the office since then.

By noon he had gotten almost all of the work done. The sun was high in the sky and it was hot. At least it wasn't muggy, like it was in the leaf village in the summer.

His head was feeling strangely heavy. He thought it would be OK to rest for a moment. He closed his eyes and...

When he opened his eyes the sky was dark. His first thought was that it was some sort of genjutsu. He tried to release but nothing happened. He stood quickly and noticed a light blanket fell from his shoulders.

Kankuru walked into the office to say something but noticed the alarmed look on his brother's face. "Gaara, what's the matter?" he asked, preparing himself for the worst. "It's night." Gaara stated.

Kankuru couldn't help looking at his little brother like he was crazy. "Yeah, you slept all day." Gaara looked a little confused. "It didn't feel like anytime passed."

It was then that Kankuru realized that something. Gaara never really slept so he didn't know what it was like. "That's how sleeping works." he said gently. Gaara turned light pink for a moment. He wasn't one for showing a lot of emotion but it seemed like this embarrassed him. "I thought I would dream but I don't remember anything." he said, sounding almost disappointed.

Kankuru put a hand on his brothers shoulder and said in a voice he thought was comforting, "Sometimes you have dreams, and sometimes you don't dream at all. I know you will dream but maybe you have to give it time." Gaara nodded and sat back down at the desk.

He was tired still but this was nothing new. In fact, he was a little less tired than he normally was.
