Botan sighed as she sat in Spirit World's office. She looked at Yusuke, Kurama, Hiei and Kuwabara.

She was desperatly waiting for Koenma to show up. She missed him.
I need a big loan

She loved Koenma, but he didn't know that.

The spire is hot

Botan felt her eyes glimmer with happiness, but the happiness faded seeing Koenma looked upset.

He looked at everyone in the room. "Everyone.... I need to tell you something.... something veryimportant...." Yusuke and Kuwabara quit bickering over whatever it was and stared at the ruler. "I... I need to give up my life.... in order to save Spirit World...." his voice trailed off.

He leaned in and kissed her cheek. He pulled back quickly, blushing lightly.

"Botan... er... I thought you should know.... that....."

"I love you, Koenma." Botan blurted out before Koenma could finish.

His eyes widened, but then they relaxed. He even smiled. "You took the words right out of my mouth."

The two embraced, but Koenma needed to depart for the taking of his life.
"Please, Koenma, don't leave me..."
"I need to, Botan. I'm sorry..."
With that, Koenma left Botan to cry alone.
