Alright, well this started off as a simple JxT fic of when they were still in human/wolf hybrid form, but , my imagination kinda drove me off the way, and I ended up with this...hope you likee!
This is for you, Becky:)
The stars shined down from heaven, illuminating the trees with a silver tint, making them resemble frosted winter trees.
In the illuminated glade, two figures where lying down in the cool midnight cool grass. They were strange creatures, resembling humans but with lupine attributes.
Both of them- a male and female, had tails and wolf ears. The male had his arms wrapped around his mate, her long orange hair flowing around her shoulders, covering her chest. Her tail was covering her legs slightly, and as she shivered because of the chill wind, the male drew her closer into his embrace, heating her with his body warmth. He, himself was watching her sleep, something that he had started doing shortly after being transformed. A pile of leather clothing lay strewn on the grass around them.
They had started this a little while ago, sneaking off while the others were asleep to be able to be together, alone, without anyone watching them.
Of course, wolf instincts as well as teenage human hormones mixed, and the inevitable happened. (Of course, you don't need that much imagination to guess what happened)
Now, as Jay lay down next to Theresa, his love, his mate, he did not know that their latest ecstatic night was going to have consequences.
For instance, he did not know that at this moment, he had just fathered a child. A child that would hold the burden of being a permanent hybrid between both species, condemned to never find refuge in either being a wolf or human, since he would be stuck between the two.
That child would have a destiny, a destiny that was marked in the stars above his parent's heads, though they could not read it yet. A destiny that only one person knew of at this moment. A man who was eating sushi at a street corner in New Olympia, gazing blindly through his sunglasses, even though it was night out.
As the man felt the familiar tingling sensation that announced a prophecy, a sphere of light appeared in his hand, the light radiating from it illuminating his aged face.
"A hybrid he shall be,
But only he will see,
The return of the wolf,
That he inadvertently let free,
Jealous of his powers this king will be,
But if this boy follows his destiny,
He shall be freed from the burden,
Of being a race and a half,
And soon enough,
When the clock strikes midnight,
He shall see the light..."
The oracle's raspy voice echoed off the nearby walls, but no one heard them. Closing his hand, the light in his palm died out, vanishing in the darkness. Starring blindly at his hand, he was motionless for a few moments, before picking up his sushi and continued eating. He had prophesised worst prophesies, though this one was still bad.
Back in the glade, the couple where stirring, getting ready to get back to the clearing before their friend's noticed their absence.
They had no idea of the child that they were carrying with them, or the fate of that child...
