Disclaimer: The story and characters of Dark Fall 3: Lost Souls are the property of Jonathan Boakes and Darkling Room. I own nothing and am making no money from this story.
Warnings: SPOILERS! If you haven't played the game Dark Fall 3: Lost Souls and intend to do so, then don't read this fan fiction! While the spoilers aren't obvious, there are definitely hints which could lessen your enjoyment of the game and the unfolding story.
Also, this piece in unbeat'd! Errors, lines that are awkward to read, etcetera, are to be expected. Hopefully my beta will finish the game soon and remedy this situation, but until then...
Note: I've never written fan fiction in the form of a poem (though I consider this to be more pseudo-poetry than actual poetry). However, after playing this game, my mind wouldn't let go of the story and, most especially, Echo's last message, until I wrote this down. The original story itself is far superior to anything I could write, but I hope I managed to capture at least a measure of that eeriness.
As always, and especially as this unbeta'd, feedback is greatly appreciated. So please leave a review!
Voices From the Dark
By Delsie
do you remember,
Inspector?
the sound of my voice in your ear,
keeping you from lines carefully drawn?
can you deny your sins
beneath a cold and merciless moon?
You are lost,
cOnfused?
drink deep.
find atonement for yoUr tarnished justice
in darkness.
she waits
within bloodstained hallways.
drown your guilt,
and hear me once more.
calling.
calling.
calling.
follow my whispering ECHO.
are you still looking, inspector?
