It all started in a dark cavern somewhere at the edges of Mt. Coronet. All have been afraid to go anywhere near there because they believe it is haunted by ghosts. All except for Team Galactic, who are responsible for the impressions of the cave being haunted.

Deeper within the cave was a control center. It had a table which could seat over 5 people. It also had a screen when the commanders had to brief the group on something. On the far end of the table sat a man who had blue hair, resembling the head of a Purugly. His name was Saturn.

"We must do something about the Adamant Orb, those imbeciles couldn't steal it like we asked them to". As if on cue, a grunt, out of breath, returned with a bag that appeared to be bulgy. "I have it sir, but I had to lose the police first". "Acknowledged", Saturn said, while looking over a few files. "Now that's out of the way, we can proceed with our plans".

But I also had to deal with a group of children. The grunt then pulled out 3 photos from the bag. Saturn took an interest in the second photo. "I've seen that face before, I know it." The photo contained an image of a boy, in his early teenage years. He was wearing a red hat with a stripe of black, and a blue symbol on it. The boy also had a Pikachu on his shoulder. "Find out more about those brats, I have a feeling that one of them may prove a threat to our plans". The grunt set the bag down then left with a "yes sir".

We now join our main heroes, with Ash holing his new Cobble badge he won from Maylene. "I can't wait till I get to the next town so we can rest already." Dawn then said "I can't wait till I get to my next contest, I've been practicing a lot, right Piplup?" Piplup then nodded its head in agreement. "Brock was, once again holding the map in his hands, trying to figure out where to go next. "I think the next town's just up ahead" The group then advanced on to the town, little knowing what fate has in store for them.

As dawn prepares for her own contest, she finds out that she needs a partner for it; Ash on the other hand encounters Paul while training his pokemon. Can they deal with their respective situations, or will they fall apart?
