As the rain falls softly
He looks over the city
The city he had failed
Everything is desolate and grey
But he doesn't care
It's the way he feels

Through his mind
He replays that day
That horrible day
The day that should have never have happened
The memories make him shudder

She had trusted him
And then he had hurt her
Almost killed her

He had stood there in shock
Looking down at his bloody hands
Everybody was staring at him
At them in horror

Their eyes were filled with fear
Horrible and unforgiving
The fact that they had trusted this psychopath
To guard their city was too much
But her eyes were the worst

The once caring eyes
Were now filled with hurt
Hurt that he caused

He almost collapsed
The weight of his heart breaking
Weighed him down so much
He didn't know if he could move
--
The police closed in
Cold and unfeeling
Like he was a criminal not a friend

He ran off and ended up here
At the place where the group began
Five friends wanting to defeat evil
But not knowing evil
Was among them
--
She'd never love him now
Not now, not ever
Not after this
--
He punches the wall
As crimson tears mix with tears of pain
Travel down his face
And splash onto the concrete floor
Staining the ground
--
He slowly made up his mind
He would never hurt anybody
Ever again
It's not like they'd miss him
--
Especially her
She'd welcome his death
--
With a deep breath
He jumps
Not thinking
--
"I love you!
I'm sorry!
Goodbye!"
His whispered words
Are carried on the wind
--
To someone's loving ears
Who cries out
But is too late
--
She collapses in pain
But not physical pain
Something much, much worse
