Hey guys! This was another cute idea that came from inspiration on social media. If you've seen the tumblr thing with Fred and George's gravestones, well that's where this inspiration came from. Anyway, Enjoy! ;)
Mischief Managed
As Fred lay on his death bed, he saw his mirror across the room. Except, it didn't have one face in it like it always did. He saw a second face.
"Hey! When did you get so old?!" Said the second face.
George recognized Fred's voice immediately.
"It's been a while!" He joked back at his twin. "But I always see you. Whenever I see my face, I see yours. Don't worry mate I've remembered you."
Fred smiled and walked across the room to his brother's bed. George looked so old, crippled, and helpless. But Fred was as young as when he died.
"Hey, I'm more holy than you now. Get it? Cause I'm in heaven?" Fred chuckled.
George rolled his eyes. "Honestly man, I'm on my death bed and 'holy's' the best you can come up with?"
Tears swelling in his eyes, Fred looked away from his twin. He may have died, but he didn't realize how painful it was watching his brother slowly pass away before him. He forced a small laugh, hoping it would hold back the tears.
"Mom and dad are fine by the way. And Harry's parents are fantastic. Turns out ol' Prongs was his man all along. And 'Moony' was actually Lupin! That was hard to come to terms with. Took a lot of explaining. But you'll really love it up there with us." Fred said gesturing upwards.
George smiled. "Thanks mate. I'll see you all real soon. I know I will. This isn't the end of the Weasley twins. After all, we've always been a part of each other."
And slowly, George's eyes drooped closed. Fred managed to hold back all of his tears until his brother was really gone. But afterwards he lost it.
"Hey mate, it's okay! I'm here beside you again!" Said a comforting voice from behind him. "Oh boy! Did I really die in that outfit?"
Fred laughed. He laughed harder than he had in many years.
"That's right. The ol' Weasley twins together again!" George "Hey Fred? Even though the real mischief is only beginning, do you still feel like saying it again?"
Fred smirked at his twin brother and they shared the same gleam in their eye. And together, George's true last words were spoken.
"Mischief Managed."
