"I... I love you." Hearing those words, from Rose, made his heart break and he did all he could not to cry. A million thoughts in his head, a million moments he would never get to experience again. Like when Cassandra got into her body on that New Earth hospital, and surprisingly kissed him. He hadn't known Rose was currently being taken over by someone else.
He still was struggling to hold back tears, but seeing Rose cry at never seeing him again made it nearly impossible. She was probably thinking about what he was. How they'd hugged after almost losing each other all the time. When he'd mentioned her name right in front of the pit, whete he saw the idea of Satan. He'd said, "Tell her... I want you to tell Rose... never mind, she already knows." Had she?
"Rose Tyler," he said, looking into her brown eyes. They were threatening to spill more tears, he noticed. Just then, the Doctor disappeared right back into the TARDIS, and since he was alone, he let himself cry.
Back at the beach, Rose was still staring at where she'd seen the Doctor fade away, just an image. Her mother rushed over to comfort her, carefully saying, "It's okay, Rose. It's okay," over and over. Rose only nodded and used her sleeve to wipe at the remaining tears. She really would never see him again, and hadn't even known what the end of that sentence was goin to be. Did he love her?
"I already miss him, mum," she said.
"I know, I know." It seemed as if Jackie really wasn't leaving her side, ans missed him just as much as she did.
"Don't you?"
"Of course, Rose."
"I never even heard the end of his sentence," she said, mostly to herself. "Now I'll never see him again."
Rose's mother heard her say this, and said, "When we spoke on the phone, you told me he said 'Never say never, ever.'" It was true, after calling Rose had told her all about what had happened, she'd mentioned that.
"He did say that." Rose seemed to muffle her words, almost unable to speak from crying.
The Doctor tried to distract himself with working inside the TARDIS, but nothing worked. He was still a bit sad about Rose, and hoped he'dbe able to distract himself. But in some way, eveything seemed to remind him of her. He sat down somewhere, and whispered, "I love you, Rose Tyler."
This time, he tried to stop the tears. He quickly got rid of them, and said mostly to himself, "I'll see you again, one day I will." He sat there for a while, letting himself travel through time without worrying about where he was going. Like before, he thought of their happy and their sad moments. Not like it would do him any good. But he did, anyway.
At the same time, in the TARDIS and on the beach, Rose and the Doctor both whispered, "I love you."
Hi! Sorry if this sucks, or if some characters are out of character (I was mainly worried about OOC-ness). This is my first Doctor Who fanfiction, and I probably am bad at it. In all seriousness, TenRose is my OTP and I wanted to make at least one story about them. I made it after the Doomsday episode, because that was sad as fuck. I watched clips of it on YouTube, and practically cried for ten million hours. Anyway, please send reviews, bye!
