She had to say that, because it carried through the Universes and it was safe. Had she said "Rose Tyler", her Universe and Donna's could implode. She thought. Maybe. To be honest, she wasn't sure. This was why she needed him. He knew these things! He knew them, and she didn't and she needed him. Sure, she helped UNIT build their time machine, but that was just a matter of asking the TARDIS if She'd help save the Universes. And of course She said yes, Rose was part of Her and She was part of Rose. And how She'd missed her. So had he, but he wouldn't say that, not to anyone. He was the Doctor, he was the Last Time Lord, he had to be strong and not show his feelings.
It was wrong, it was all wrong, he wasn't supposed to have died. But if he'd lived, would she be home? And Jack...taken by the Sontarans for experimentation because of her. And Donna and Martha and Sarah Jane...she had to fix it.
I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. You're gonna die.
She had to, she convinced herself. Donna had to know, had to be ready to die for everything, for him. And she was, she just didn't know it yet. She knew she was after a year with him. And Donna reminded her so much of herself then.
I'm going left.
She felt herself pulled back to her Universe, her new Universe, and she knew in an instant, past all the flashes of Daleks and Cybermen, she knew that Donna had done it. She'd stopped herself from turning right. She felt like a proud mum at a school concert. Donna had done it because Rose and the TARDIS had told her to.
Well done, Rose Tyler. Well done, my lovely Rose.
She told me...to warn you. She said two words, Donna said, back in her own Universe. Confused and scared, she was trying to figure out what had the Doctor so worried and to remember what the strange blonde woman had said.
