Of The Howls
Disclaimer: I own nothing but what you see here. Set after season 1 but with Alive!Kate and things are hunky dory between everybody aside from Kate and Derek for obvious reasons. This is probably more crack then anything else but I've been wanting to write it so yeah. Enjoy!
When Kate Argent heard the howls that night, she felt it was a good time as any to get her niece out on to the roof and try and teach her what was really being said when it came to howls from Werewolves. And they were certainly having quite the time too since they were never lacking in howls. Though this particular set of howls seemed to be an argument more than anything else. Though Kate wondered why the Hell neither of the two morons considered just talking to the other person through a phone or in person. After hearing Derek's recent howl, Kate started to helpfully decipher it to an amused Allison who was wondering how long it would take for her to even figure all this out.
"Right, so Derek's just called Scott an idiot for refusing to join his pack. There's also something about cheese but I'm not really sure on that one."
An annoyed sounding howl from Scott came after that and Kate chuckled in amusement, making Allison curious as heck. "What!? What'd he say!?"
"Well, your boy basically told that delicious hunk to go screw himself. And that it wasn't his fault the cheese was bad."
A giggle escaped Allison after that and she had a pretty good idea about the cheese they were talking about in particular. "Oh God, its been three days and he's still complaining about that cheese."
Kate looked at her niece in curiousity and nudged her to continue that line of thought. "It was a thing with a grinder and melted cheese exploding all over Derek." Allison told her with a laugh and Kate was soon laughing along with her when she got a mental image of her yummy Derek Hale covered in melted cheese.
"Jesus girl! Why didn't you tell me about that right when it happened!? That would have been one Hell of a delicious meal!"
Her suggestive tone and wink made Allison blush. "Aunt Kate!" The woman just laughed her head off at the younger girl's response.
Another howl was heard after that and it was sounding aggravated as can be. Making Kate laugh even harder and causing Allison to wish she knew what was being said! "He… Ha ha! Just told your… Ha ha! Your boy that he… Ha ha! Was going to kick his ass the next he saw him! Oh God! Not only that, but that he'll cover Scott in melted cheese and then set a Skunk loose on him!"
Allison wrinkled her nose in disgust but she couldn't help but find it hilarious as well. Scott made his own howl that basically told Derek to just bring it if he really thought he could pull it off. The lovely young archer hoped her boyfriend didn't just bite off more then he could chew on and Kate wanted front row seats to that action! A loud squealing noise was then heard through out the entire area that had the two ladies covering their ears for a moment before it thankfully went away. "WOULD YOU TWO IDIOTS SHUT THE HELL UP ALREADY!? PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO SLEEP!" Came the ultra loud voice of one Stiles Stilinski with a specially made megaphone that he had somehow acquired. Said megaphone allowed his voice to be heard all through out the town of Beacon Hills and was only ever used in super ultra important times. Which… Had only been used twice before up until now.
Loud laughter broke out between the two girls after that unexpected moment, but Stiles clearly got his wish as the two howling lunatics were silent after that. All in all though, this had been a fairly wonderful bonding experience for Allison and Kate and the girl hoped there would be more to come in the future.
Author's Notes: Now that I've gotten that moment of insanity out of my system, back to writing this Arrow chapter!
