Take Care

Gilbert was standing by the window, a cigarette hanging from his lips. He took a deep breath and slowly exhaled the smoke. Cold air entered the room by the open window. Gazing out at the outside, Gilbert didn't notice the sound of a door closing. He watched as the first snowflakes began to fall from the dark sky. He took another inhale of smoke before his cigarette was ripped up his lips. He sighed and his eyes closed as arms snaked up around him. A sharp chin rested on his shoulder and a sugary voice whispered right at his ear.

-Well~ good night, Gilbert-kun.

Ignoring the shiver running down his spine, the man frowned and his brows furrowed.

-What do you want, Break?

He intended to sound harsh but his voice came out drained. Work worn him out and he didn't even have the energy to fight the intruder out.

-Kukuku... Is Gil-kun tired?

-Shut up.

-You work too much, you know? You should rest more often.

-I told you to shut up.

At this time of night, he really didn't want to hear Break advising him to work less. The white haired man had taken the habit to pass on him all his paperwork at Pandora, doubling Gil's own. And of course, as soon as the stacks of paper were put down Gilbert's desk, Break was nowhere to be found.

A loud sigh escaped the dark haired man and a light chuckle followed. Break enjoyed bullying the younger man, it was true, but he was seriously considering to stop giving him all his paperwork. Tired Gil was no fun. He pouted a little as the other man leaned against him. Their bodies were flushed together and Gil nuzzled his head in the crook of Break's neck. The latter wasn't at all surprised by this behavior. It had become a usual thing this time around. With all of Pandora's matters and excited Oz and Alice running around all the time, Gilbert by the end of the day was drained. And Break took it as his duty to take care of him.

Closed eyes, Gil gave in to the man's embrace. Every night, he tried to resist but found it too hard not to lean against him. Break was cold but Gil didn't need warmth. All he needed was a support and Break was more than happy to comply. In this moments, he gave up his carefree attitude and became silent. His quiet presence was welcomed by Gil.

Soft lips pressed against the cold skin of a neck and a hum resonated in the air. The lips curved into a small smile and continued to plant kisses on the soft flesh, stopping right behind the ear. As always, a thin tongue licked the earlobe, earning a shiver. Mumble filled the air and a body turned to face another one, hands ghosting up a back to settle behind a slim neck. Golden caught red before lips claimed lips in a forceful kiss.

This, too, wasn't new. It had started years ago, as a way to free some of the pressure building up. Both of them found some rest in the other's arms and it had continued until it wasn't just a selfish act. Even as Oz came back from the Abyss, Gilbert still sought release from Break's lips.

Hands found their way under a shirt, grazing tensed muscles. Shivers and moans escaped, enticing and barely restrained, staying discrete but loud enough to fill the other's mind and take up every spaces of coherent thoughts. The only thing left in the other's mind was hands roaming over toned chests. And as clothes were discarded and lips kissed and sucked, hands caressed and gripped, nails grazed and scraped, somewhere along the way to completion, they started to care for each other.
