Now I know why Edward always relished in my human warmth. The only real warmth us vampires get is when the steaming
hot water runs down our bodies. The water was so hot that the steam hung strongly in the air. I could hear that Edward
had entered the bedroom. I knew it was only a matter of time before he would walk into the bathroom and things would
get even steamier, if you know what I mean! The fain squeak of a door being opened just a crack was heard in the
background. I wasn't really in the mood and with Jacob and Renesme just in the next room I thought that it would be
inappropriate. I wouldn't care if they were human, but with Renesme's vampire hearing and Jacob being so shape shifting
werewolf, I didn't really want my daughter and future son-in-law to hear me …… like…that. I faintly heard the sound of the
shower curtain being pulled back and that's what pulled me out of my thoughts. I immediately pulled it closed.
"No" I said sadly. I hated having to say that little word.
"Bellaaaaaa. Why not?" Edward whined on the other side of the curtain. I tried to conceal the giggle that I knew was
about to burst out. It still amazed me how much control I held over this very sexy vampire on the other side of the curtain.
"Edward, do you know how inappropriate it would be to do that kind of a thing with our daughter in the other room?" I
explained sternly.
"They would never hear us!" He exclaimed angrily. I could almost see the expression on his face. I decided that I would
show him what would happen. A very clear and precise image of the last time a situation like this had happed.
Edward and I were in a very composing poison when it donned on me that Renesme was coming over. It was to late; she
walked right in and let out a shrill chirp.
"OH My God! What the hell!?" and she practically ran all the way back to the main house. Edward and I didn't talk about
that for a long time.
Even after the memory I felt a cold hand run down my back. I instantly let out a low hiss of pleasure.
"Mom, Dad! Lets try and keep it PG just this once. I'm not alone and I don't think that my boyfriend wants to hear
something like THAT from the girl he used to love!" Renesme cried in a frantic tone.
I thought I heard a wolfy chuckle but even with my vampire hearing I couldn't be sure. Edward groaned and pulled away. I
slowly turned off the water and grabbed the towel. As I stepped out of the tub I relished that Edward hadn't left yet.
"Dad, leave my mother alone. I know you didn't leave the bathroom. GET OUT!" Renesme screeched.
"You took the words out of my mouth." Jacob whispered.
Edward retreated to the bedroom. All I could do is laugh. What a morning! IT only could go up from here.
