A/N : Just a random writing I did in less than ten minutes. It appears to be bugging my mind, so I tried to write it down.

If you don't get the line, it's okay. I'm with you xD ( jk lol)

Reviews are really appreciated!

Shatter

She wasn't related with him.

He had no relation with her.

But,

He wished he had had.

As to preserve delicate balance, there had to be counterparts of each Legendaries.

That was how things supposed to work.

How sky and sea were following the same rhythm,

How nightmares took up and sweet dreams coming next,

and so on.

Additionally, in some occasions, there had to be the guardian so that the preserving balance could be observed.

Like how Rayquaza watched the fluctuating earth and seas,

Or how,

Or how Giratina reserved as the antimatter, withstanding the colliding time and space

A counterpart simply meant to be a partner.

Developing a relationship more than that was tolerable.

Arceus had overseen everything ; how Latias and Rayquaza first met, the hurtful moment when Ho-oh chose Moltres over Lugia, while the Diving Pokemon had finally captivated with the cyan guardian of Alto Mare, Latios.

He knew it happened.

Was it wrong for him to hope?

Being the God or Goddess had the worse consequence with the rule of living being.

There should be no attachments.

Arceus knew it well. He refused to acknowledge relationships.

He saw how it could drastically change a person to someone who wasn't his/her prior self.

He understood why he didn't – he need not to – have attachments.

He withstood being one,

But this time, he failed.

"Don't you ever feel lonely?" she chided.

"No answer,"

The God of Creation had taken his time to the Turnback Cave, to meet a certain Legendary who might be able to understand his place.

"No answer, either," she bitterly said.

"Are we relatable?" he questioned.

"In what terms?"

"Of being God of different worlds?"

She laughed.

"Arceus, Goddess of Underworld is not a title to brag on,"

However, he was determined.

"Do you feel lonely?"

A sigh. A distressful sigh, coming from the Pokemon who perfectly knew pain and agony of living being.

Yet one whom he had fallen to.

"I think that both of us know it the best. Don't you?"

"I'm not lonely,"

She quirked an eyebrow.

"How so?"

He forced a smile.

"I'm hoping,"

Living in different world, they barely exchanged looks.

He had hands – or paws, or feet – in the living world, while she ruled over underworld.

He was hurting, but she was unaware of it.

He also, had no idea of her feelings.

Simply said,

Was it an unrequited love?

"Can we talk?"

"No,"

"Arceus," she deemed.

He sighed.

"Five minutes,"

"You know how I'm stuck with two bold Legendaries, who will just go berserk once their territory is invaded?"

"Yes"

"Don't you have any idea why I'm stuck there?"

"No answer,"

"Do you?"

"…"

A resigned sigh.

"I guess it is no hope,"

He blinked.

"What hope?"

She was leaving already.

But she gave one last look at him. The look with the last remnant of hope, which had shattered into tears.

"The hope, of your hope,"

They continued their life,

But instead of living,

They were dead but moving.
