Some Things Never Change

Zoro glanced around the room of the crow's nest. Damn it really had been a long time since he had been in here hadn't it? Everything looked the same; even though everybody themselves looked different.

When they got back onto the ship, everybody seemed to act like not a single thing was different, that a few years were simply a few days to them. The swordsman hated to admit it, but it was almost like a family reunion, they were together for under a year and the man never once thought he wouldn't see them all. Although… some like the Ero-Cook he hopped would have died over the two years…

Usopp still told his stories to Chopper and Luffy, Robin and Nami still talked while Sanji fawned over them, Brook still played his music, although it seemed different than before, and Franky still worked in his workshop for hours on end. No… nothing was different besides their appearances.

The swordsman closed his eyes, ready to take a nap up here like he used to, hearing all of the idiots down below made him angry as usual, even though he never once complained unless he himself was affected directly.

The creaking of wood as he leaned back felt strangely comforting, but underneath it was another creaking. The swordsman opened his good eye and put a hand on the hilt of his swords, instantly on guard.

Two rubbery arms came and snaked around his torso from behind as he unsheltered a sword, only to freeze as a "Shishishishi" Came from behind him "Scared you Zoro didn't I?"

The swordsman snarled under his breath "Dammit Luffy"

For two years he had been taught to always be on guard, Mihawk liked to randomly attack him when he slept for "Extra Training" If he had only been a bit more on edge when he settled down in bed he might have two eyes at the moment… He had nearly cut off Luffy's head a moment ago.

The rubbery fingers felt the swordsman's abs on his exposed skin "Zoro's gotten stronger" Luffy said "Good, I don't want to lose him in the New World!"

Zoro grumbled and sat down with a thud, Luffy kept dancing his fingers on his abs, feeling the skin that felt like iron "Gonna get off of me any time soon?" Zoro growled under his breath.

Luffy suddenly wrapped around onto Zoro's front, giving the swordsman that goofy grin he always had "Shishishi, Zoro's turning red…"

Zoro grumbled as he kept the gruff expression he always wore on before Luffy pressed his soft lips against the swordsman's rough ones, forcing his tongue into the swordsman's mouth. Zoro let his guard down for what felt like the first time in two years and slipped his hand to the small of Luffy's back, feeling Luffy squirm slightly as Zoro fell on his back, Luffy on his chest with their lips still connected.

Yeah… everything was still the same.
