Been watching Lost Boys: The Thirst a lot. Got it yesterday. LOVE IT! Especially love the Frog's hug at the end. This is kinda where this came from.

Set just between Edgar getting the eviction notice and him going to the comic book store. Thought it was a nice little tie-in.

Maybe not my best work. Should most likely be a longer fic but I think it's a nice little thing to tide you over.

Based on 100_Tales Prompts. Yes, I'm going to do all of them. And no. not all will be based on the Frogs. This is the first one to feature them actually.

Disclaimer: I do not own Lost Boys or any sequels or rights or anything. All I own is a couple of DVD's and soon a t-shirt.

Prompt: #33 Birthday

~PAGE BREAK~

Edgar sat at the table in his cosy trailer. Another birthday alone. This was going to be his 5th birthday alone. He released a sigh and let his head drop to his chest. He didn't think he could do this again. Even though neither said anything, both Frog Brothers knew the other missed sitting in the local pub in a booth in the back, knocking back shots like there was no tomorrow. Then, as the night tapered out, they would finish with a quiet pint with a sense of warmth siting in their bellies after a long, not-very-eventful-but-still-fun evening. Both knew the other wanted to walk home, stumbling slightly, and sit at the table and enjoy a home-made cake. (Both could be big softies at times plus, growing up, making a cake from scratch was cheaper than buying one.) Both knew the other hated being alone on their birthday. Alan always blamed it on himself and his "condition". He didn't feel safe being around Edgar for a full night. Add booze to mix and Edgar would most likely going to end up a dried out organ donor.

Edgar slammed his fist down hard on the table. This had to end! He couldn't take another year of being brothers, The Frog Brothers, but being separated by blood. Edgar knew he should have shot the vampire back in D.C. but for some reason he just couldn't. It would have immediately reversed the change but he had hesitated and used the UV lamp instead. He had been such an idiot. Why hadn't he wasted the suck monkey when he had been standing right there? He had reasoned it was because he didn't want to believe that his brother had been taken by surprise, his big brother who had taught him almost everything about vampire hunting, had been attacked and forced to drink vampire blood. He had been such an…No. this had to stop. He couldn't keep blaming himself. He had hesitated. Alan had turned and was still a half vampire. What happened had happened. There had to be a way to reverse it. Edgar would find a way, one way or another. Even if he had to cut down every blood-sucker, night-crawler and suck monkey that hid in the shadows and fed off the ignorant.

Edgar sighed and stood from the table. He looked at the eviction notice that had been plastered to his door. He would have to sort through his comics and see which ones would be most appealing to that slime at the Book O'Neer, Frank. He would go first thing tomorrow. Edgar sighed again and looked at the cake Zoe had given him. The single candle in the centre flickered. He turned away and pulled off his jeans and boots. He turned back to the candle. He leaned forward, inhaled and blew out the candle.

I'll find a way to help you Alan, if it's the last thing I do.

~PAGE BREAK~

I quickly typed this up at roughly 10 at night so it might be a bit odd but I think it's pretty good.

I've gotten a lot of demand for stories. (Not really but I've gotten some so I'm happy)

I love reviews and my reviewers. I'll try to write more over the next few days. Should be one ever couple of days, fingers crossed. Toes crossed. Eyes crossed…in fact cross anything you think will bring me luck. ^^
