A/N: So this is my first Hetalia story and besides a couple of one-shots I have done (never put them here) I decided to do a longer story. Sorry this chapter is so short, it's only because I thought this would make a great lead-in to everything else. I have a lot more written but we'll see how this goes first. There are going to be a few other pairings as the story moves along, so I hope you guys enjoy the ride! Also don't forget to leave a review and let me know what you think! :)

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters of Hetalia!

Matthew Williams was a shy person by nature, introverted and always kept to himself, so when he was approached by one of the more cooler, or so everyone in school had said he was, teens from high school he did not know how to react. Nor did he know what to say as he stared into red eyes.

"I'm…sorry?"

The boy in front of him rolled his eyes and sighed. Matthew took that as him being annoyed and he cringed further into his locker. He was trying to gather his books up and take them home to study but that was not going as planned.

"I said," the teen began again, "my name is Gilbert and I am awesome."

Matthew slowly nodded, his stray curl bouncing in front of his face.

"…I don't know what to say to that really…" he trailed off, scratching the back of his neck.

Matthew was clearly uncomfortable and out of his comfort zone. It was being invaded by this, dare he say albino and what else was it that he said? Something about being Prussian and the last of his bloodline. Although Matthew was pretty sure that his brother, Ludwig, was German. Either way…

"You must have heard of me before, haven't you?" Gilbert asked, leaning closer to him, one arm on the locker, his ankles crossed and knees bent in a cocky-like manner.

Matthew gave another nod, "…yeah…but…"

"So you should be honored that I am talking to you!"

Matthew did not like this at all and he quickly started coming up with excuses to get away from this person and make it back to his sanctuary at home.

"Again...I don't know what you want me to say honestly."

Gilbert chuckled and pushed off of the locker. He took a step towards Matthew and leaned down so that his forehead was almost pushed against the blonde headed teen's.

"I want you to say you'll go out with me."
