Tears of Blood
That day beneath the snowy sky
A single man would learn how to cry
A woman dies with hardly a sound
While blood begins to soak the ground
Through cold and wind he will tread
Holding onto the light by merely a thread
Tears of blood fall down his face
While he keeps a steady pace
She lies still in his gentle hold
Her body begins to grow cold
Will his heart do the same?
Will her death have been in vain?
No, my friends, his heart remains in light
All because of her love's might
How could I know how this came to be?
Because he is me
And although things pass with time
My heart remains warm and kind
And I have never forgotten her sacrifice
For because of my Tomoe
I can continue to live my life
My first poem, and probably my only. I'm not a very good poet, and I randomly came up with this in one of my classes. I based the entire thing around the line 'Tears of blood fall down his face', and that's why I named it that. Please review!
